I had a cat some time ago that had awful teeth and breath problems. We fed him dry food only and he did have some dental procedures done at vet. Sadly his breath always smelled so awful. Near the end of his precious life, I learned about this product. I began using it in his water and I do feel like it helped some. The smell did dissipate, not quite so bad. I have a new car now and am starting him out with this. He was born with a very crooked tooth that sticks out of lip a bit. He has good dental hygiene tho, and we have been using this. He does not notice it in the water...or doesn't dislike it anyways. He has no bad breath and his teeth are keeping white and clean. The price is reasonable and came in good shape, not expired.     • What cat drinks 8-16 oz a day! A Bobcat?

I got this because my kitty isn’t big on brushing and I started her young. The reviews were positive so I wanted to give it a try. Not sure this would work now thinking about it more. If your kitty eats predominantly wet food that has alot of water in it…. and even if all they ate was kibble cats don’t drink the required amount to be beneficial. Probably better for dogs. Also if you have a fountain that takes around 3 cups of water to fill and you’re supposed to change it 2x daily, this would get expensive. It doesn’t say you can rub a diluted version on their teeth and can’t find any info online about that. So will try this one bottle and let you know. ... show more

This cleared up one cat’s severe bad breath within a week. But he ended up needing all teeth removed so this wasn’t a long-term solution. However, it worked well for my cats with minor bad breath and I’ve recommended it to friends.

The media could not be loaded. My cat is 13 years old and had consistently required dental cleanings every year. Her vet recommended this and it changed the game. She's only needed one cleaning in the four years she's been using it. Her tartar and plaque buildup is significantly lower, so I haven't had to put her through the stress of cleanings (which requires a full day, anesthesia, sensitivity after) nor do I have to shell out the hundreds it costs each time. She never had bad breath, so I don't know about its effects on that. One bottle lasts about 8-9 months for one large 16-pound cat. She's never shown any aversion to the taste. ... show more

    • BEWARE caused diarrhea for my cat

So I have a siamese and they're known for having dental issues and I thought this would help aside from the dental chews he already has, but this caused a lot of digestive irritation. He had diarrhea for a couple of days and only now is his poop back to normal. I took him to the vet because I was so worried and his doctor told me that mouth wash is known to cause these symptoms and its a common thing. Also its not really useful and better to either just brush directly or feed them the dental chews. I also have seen an improvement in his dental hygiene by removing it. This product gets 3 stars because it seems to work. I took off 1 star because ingredients seem a little odd. Do you really need glycerin and green tea in it? Also took off 1 star because the delivery of this is horrible! It uses dosage in "capfuls" but it's a press down flip open cap. Odd. That means when you fill the cap up, it gets under the flip top and then leeks. Then you put the cap back on the bottle and the rest runs out over the bottom. As it has glycerin in it, it makes everything sticky! I have to keep a paper towel under it. Maybe just a small bottle of DROPS to add to the water would be better. Or a smaller bottle with a dropper. I have washed the bottle off several times and the stickiness never seems to go away. Our kitty's breath is not worth the mess this packing makes. If they change it, I'll be sure to buy it though! ... show more
