  • IT WORKS!!
Size: TV5X 5,000 LBS With Built In Jack
WOW!! AMAZING! I purchased a Camping trailer that is a little over 21 feet. I made a cardboard model to prove to my husband that it could fit in the driveway. He would not believe it could be done unless I somehow lifted it with a crane. My driveway has a slight slope, 24-foot wide/19 feet deep. After watching many videos I decided to give the trailer valet a chance. It was really easy to mount the bracket and to attach the Trailer Valet I was able to do it on my own. I practiced moving and maneuvering the trailer with my daughter for about 15 minutes and then we felt we were ready! When my husband came home we had him back up the trailer as much as he could, not an easy task because our driveway is on a narrow street. We were able to pivot the trailer at an angle and back it up further into the driveway so it is almost parallel to the street. It fit! AMAZING! The cost was fully worth it and we were able to crank it up the slight slope without a problem. We moved along a couple of logs under the tires in case the trailer valet brake was not enough to stop the trailer in case it slid. We did not need them in the end but it was just a precaution. I had hesitated to get a camping trailer because I did not think I would be able to fit it in the driveway, and I did not want to pay for monthly storage. The Trailer Valet TV5X Lift Jack will pay for itself in a couple of months and it will definitely make it easier to move the trailer around at camping spots, I will also be able to line it up to the truck hitch in my won WOOT WOOT! Great product! ... show more

  • Too Good To Be True - It Doesn't Work
I was hoping this would help us more easily get our 23' wake boat into its storage area. We are able to get the boat perfectly lined up and partway in with the truck, before we run out of cranking room in the offset approach. All the Trailer Valet XL had to do was push the trailer straight back less than 10 feet on clean and flat pavement. It didn't work. The Trailer Valet XL had a hard time pushing or pulling the trailer on the flat pavement, and absolutely could not push the trailer wheels over a less than 1" ridge where the cement pad met the pavement. We tried everything - making sure the trailer brakes were locked out, purchasing a new corded high-torque drill, using the hand crank, etc. The tires would just slip on the pavement, the unit would bind up, etc. Even adding weight on the tongue didn't help. We ended up just pushing it by hand with a couple of people, no problem doing it by hand - I was just hoping the Trailer Valet would be a one person solution and remove the dependency on having people around. This brings us to the heart of the matter - the energy and time expended with the Trailer Valet XL is probably more than just doing it another way. If you can't do it by hand, it is unlikely that the Trailer Valet will be able to do it effectively either. The Trailer Valet XL might work on a small light trailer, but only on flat pavement, and nowhere near its rated capacity - it might hold something bigger, but it won't move it effectively based on my hours of trying to get it to work. Traction with the small rounded tires seems to be the biggest issue for heavier trailers, as well as some issues with ratcheting and binding every now and then inside the unit. It's a good thought, but like everything else that seems too good to be true, it fails in its implementation. ... show more

  • HOA Fine Saver!
Size: TV5X 5,000 LBS With Built In Jack
The Valet was just what we needed to be able to squeeze our pop-up into our garage. It allowed for the fine control required for some precision parking. There was no way I had the skills to reverse the trailer into our garage and/or move the trailer around to get it in the right spot so we could fit our second car in. It would likely have taken me hours to got it into place. We had to get the pop-up out of the back yard before the HOA noticed it and started to fine us! :) We did have to move out battery from the forward position back next to our gas tank (see attached pic) but that was easy enough and the Valet slotted over the welded base plate the old lift jack used. Installation, with the battery move, took about an hour. We weren't able to get traction on the grass, as some other reviews have stated. Honestly, I wouldn't have expected it to in our situation as it was extremely soft ground and it was practically in a hole. Once on the driveway, it was a breeze to move around. We do have a flat driveway so there was no issue with hills, etc. The small bump we have to get over the threshold of the garage does require me to put the lever in the low speed connection as the high speed doesn't have the torque to get it over that small bump. We also have to be careful when rolling the trailer out as the handle will spin really fast/hard as it hits that spot...watch your hands! Absolutely fantastic product - it also makes hitching up to the car extremely simple...no more back it up a bit, nope, bit more...too far...go forward...stop,...back up... ... show more

  • Worked ok but not worth it for me.
Size: TVMVPRO 12,000 LBS 2.0 Ball, 2-5/16 Conve...
It can move a trailer but lots of effort. Bought the new 12k pound upgraded one figuring overkill means it would move my 6200 trailer easier. Build is very heavy and sturdy. Better have a nicer drill as I grabbed an older 18v that quickly overheated. Took lots of effort to hold, steer and drill. If youre threading the needle on travel trailer it helps but you can’t see while you move it because you bent down close to tongue. Auto chain tensioner seemed to slip and wheels slipped moving trailer over 1/2” bump. I think it’s over advertised/ promised. Would work good for under 5k pounds and with flat trailer to see.
