I acquired this for my soon to be 4 year old grandson who simply loves cars and trucks. When it arrived I carefully opened it to inspect it. I read and followed the instructions with no difficulty, put in my own AA batteries into the remote (Batteries for the remote were not included), I connected and inserted and the LI-Ion 3.7 volt battery into the vehicle and ran it through its paces outside in the out of season Zoysia grass (See Pictures). The vehicle performed as advertised and should be a lot of fun for the little guy. I found it easy to operate - frontwards, backwards, turn left, turn right, do three sixties and even climb a small rock. I am thinking it will be a hit on Christmas day as he will be here and the weather is forecast to be sunny and mild so he can take it outdoors. After I tested the amphibious vehicle it I took the Li-Ion battery out to give it a full charge so he can start to use it immediately after opening it. The only difficulties I had were dealing with the small screws to get to the two battery compartments. The space in the compartment for for the Li-Ion battery is pretty tight but so care would be advised putting the battery in and taking it out. I think I picker a winner! I'll know for sure on Christmas Day. ... show more

This is really fun at first but after a short amount of the time the remote controls become very annoying. There is no steering ability and rather the controls only move the left side wheels or the right side wheels. There are other controls on the remote that run a pre-programed maneuver but without any instructions it is hard to say what it is trying to do or how to use it Overall would not recommend. ... show more

This works as expected. My only real qualms are that the plastic on the controller seems cheap and brittle, so hopefully the truck itself holds up. The on off switch is also a little difficult to push. It can climb over things though. It will be great for our three year old.
