The Titan ControlMax 1700 High Efficiency Airless sprayer provides serious DIYers and handymen high output with more control and less mess. It can be used on interior and exterior jobs with unthinned paints and stains on walls, ceilings, and exterior finishes. The High Efficiency Airless (HEA) system decreases overspray by up to 55% while delivering a softer spray ensuring a consistent finish every time. The ControlMax sprays up to .33 gallon per minute through the 515 spray tip (ideal for latex paints) and has adjustable pressure from the .60 horsepower motor. Different HEA sized tips are sold separately to match your coating and project needs. The sprayer pulls paint directly from a 1 or 5 gallon paint can for added convenience, plus when you’re done painting you can store your tips and tools in the integrated storage. It's so hard to find a good painting gun I read so many reviews and we'll it's hard to figure which ones to buy. I was hoping I made a good decision when I bought this one because not all the reviews were great and well I was on a budget since we just bought a home. So I took the plunge crossed my fingers and bought this one. Overall it was a great decision it works great. We painted my house with this machine and it was super efficient. It was easy to clean we had paint left over not like the rental. We did our patio and the back of our house and I was shocked we still had paint left over. I am a general contractor and dont always do the painting on my remodels. When the job is smaller, I'll do it to make a little more on the job. I spent several years as a full time painter when I was younger. I'm familiar with all the fancy sprayers but couldn't justify spending that kind of money. The problem with this thing is, it works so good I keep doing the painting. Pro tips... buy the filter/swivel, part number Wagner 0580611-B / 580611. This will give you a filter at the gun to keep if from clogging, not to mention the swivel which is a must. Make sure the tips you buy start with 353- then the tip size. Example 353-517. I learned the hard way that there are tips that look the same but will not fit. Same for the hose and gun. These parts are special for this sprayer. Make sure you do your homework and find out what size tip you need for your application. The tip that comes with it is the most popular for household paints. You can usually find this on the can of paint. If not, ask. I've sprayed several houses now with this set up, including cabinets, with great results.     • Product lasted 1 hr and Amazon won't replace product even though its less than 90 days from purchase!

Stay away from this product. Purchased through Amazon a couple months back when it was on sale. Went to use the item on 4/7/18 and it worked for about an hour before it just stopped spraying. Tried all the steps to get the machine to work again and nothing. The Spray/Prime knob is plastic and a joke as far as functionality and ability to actually read which is which on the knob. After 3 hours of trying to get this to work again I have a half painted house. Amazon says the product can't be returned or replaced yet I have no idea who it should go to to address this. Product is less than 3 months old, used once and I'm out $300. I also purchased the extended warranty but it does't start until after the manufacture warranty which is a year. So I guess I have to wait for a year to get this replaced as Amazon has no customer service to speak to on this matter. I would recommend to all future buyers of this product as well as other product of similar nature, pay the little bit extra and purchase from a physical store like the Big Box stores, at least then you can return it when it doesn't work and get a replacement and finish the job your trying to do!!!!! ... show more

Very impressed at how nice a unit this is. This is my first airless sprayer and it took a little getting used to but soon provided excellent results. Instructions were very good and geared for the first timer so setup and learning was relatively painless. It is amazing that a unit this nice is this cheap - I have since used some "high end" sprayers and other than some nice to have features, this Titan does an equally good job and is as easy to use. Don't let anyone kid you, cleaning paint sprayers is not easy, even though many say they have auto cleaning modes. There is little difference between most modern sprayers when it comes to cleaning and it is entirely up to you as to how clean you want them to get. You will never be so happy as when you take out the sprayer for the next job that you did a thorough cleaning job when you put the sprayer away the last time you used it. ... show more

Comes with a short hose. Limits on nozzle size. Definitely not for heavy use. I like the low pressure aspect, but make sure you get low pressure HEA tips or else it won't work.

    • BAD Mistake! I'm STUCK

I ordered and had this sprayer delivered to my house -- excellent service! ONLY I had it shipped to my house 800 miles from where I was and needed it -- MY mistake. So I reordered another one, and used it -- great sprayer -- no complaints! Four months later I get home to find the first one which I do not now need! BUT my return date has expired! What do I do with an unopened sprayer??? Why can they not take back a brand new shrinkwraped sprayer??? Help! ... show more
