This is an incredible tool if you have to move many logs. I used it for four truckloads. I have a crane in the back of my truck and a winch attached to the crane. This tool was awesome.

I used this log grapple to pick up the larger parts of an old oak tree that died near my barn. Put a chain on the front end loader and ran it through the big round ring on the grapple. The dogs would sometimes grab on, and on a few logs I had to tap the dogs with a sledgehammer a couple times to get them to bit into the log. It is really strong and did not bend. I have a 100hp tractor that was maxed out on the lifting weight. The tree trunk was 42” diameter, which is larger than the grapple, so I cut the log at about 20” cuts and grab each pice on the cut ends. A must have tool for my farm. ... show more

Great price! With lots of dead ash logs, some more than 30" thick, to get to the splitter, I was afraid 20" tongs wouldn't work. larger sizes were way more expensive. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could easily set and haul 26" logs. Very nice, thick powder coat (maybe paint?)

I bought this to help me drag logs behing my side by side. I was going to buy the 25" one but it took longer to get to me, so purchased this one instead. When I opened it, I was fearful it was too small. But it isn't. A couple of things about this one. It is super sturdy, rock solid. Notice the points are not at a 90 degree angle to the bars, but are pointed back up. When it grips a log, it grips it! Haven't had it pull loose not one time. I found another use for this. I put a strap through the ring and put the strap around my wrist. When I have pieces of wood cut to split into firewood, I pick them up with this. Without bending over, with it on the strap, I can lower it over a piece of wood and lift it and carry it to the pile or the splitter. In fact, that is my favorite part about it, picking up wood without bending over! One of my best purchases ever! ... show more
