This is our second TigerKing safe for our household. As before the quality and design of the safe is excellent. Setting up the personal code was simple and straightforward. To open the safe you have the option of using the Master Key and your personal code or using the Master Key and Emergency Key.

    • It's so so, but for the price it's not terrible.

I figured this would be a decent safe and so far it is. I am a metal fabricator and welder so I am slightly disappointed to see the tiny welds on the door hinges... Material seems to be around 18-20 gauge so relatively thin. The door is maybe 1/8 plate or so. Overall I think this less of a safe and more of a strong box deterrent. It's more secure than my dresser drawer however. The build quality is meh. The price is fair for what it is but I see why a plate steel safe of the same size is 6x the price of this unit. The included anchors are destined for the recycle bin and some real anchoring hardware will be needed from the hardware store to actually anchor this anywhere. I recommend using a large surface area washer on the interior bolt holes to prevent the sheet metal from tearing if impacted with a heavy object. The external battery pack is a nice touch but feels very cheap. Let's be real, it's made in China and acts like it too, but so is everything in this price range. I'd say it's ok if it's all your budget will allow. ... show more

I needed a safe to secure things while I had house cleaners and workers in my home. I'm also a bit obsessive about my closet looking just so. This safe fits both bills. One thing to consider is that is VERY HEAVY.

"This is the second safe I have purchased from TigerKing. From by first purchase experience, I know they are proud of and stand by their safes. This one I purchased for my son as a present, who is in college. I really like their safes. They are sturdy, good looking with safety features that make them trustworthy. The option of using two keys to open it or one key and a combination is a nice feature, especially if you forget the combination. The size of the safe is large enough for my son to secure his important documents and valuables. Got this yesterday in mint condition as it was well packed and protected. I had read reviews where people seemed to have problems setting up the new codes as they said the instructions weren't clear. They must have written up new instructions as I found them straight forward and easy to set up. Really is a nice well built safe and more then worth the money spent. Now if I only had some money and jewels to put in it!!!! ... show more

This is a good, solid and sturdy safe box. I like the rounded off corners and the internal hinges seem well made and solid. Mechanisms work very well and the alarm is quite loud. Heavy duty, thick metal door and solid bolts. Internal LED light when door is open. Comes with external battery pack which is a very good feature. Product is very sturdy and strong. I like that there's multiple secure ways to open it also. It does fit a laptop and a Chromebook, the laptop had to take the shelf off, put laptop in, then put the shelf back on if needed. The Chromebook goes in easily without removing the shelf. I'm using it in a shared shop with employees who come and go all hours when I'm not there, so wanted something to secure Chromebook and valuables, etc while I was out with customers. (Secure not from employees stealing it, but in case they get nosy and snoop around as humans will sometimes) It's also small enough to put on metal cabinet shelf and be able to shut the cabinet door still so it's out of sight. ... show more
