I purchased the Tietoc for my husband. It had a great price and was shipped fast. As soon as it arrived my husband charged the battery to full capacity (it came partially charged) and filled it with oil. He then used the Tietoc mini chainsaw to remove a very old and damaged lilac bush/tree. It was a painless job to take the bush from its previous 10’ height to the ground. The Tietoc easily sawed through all the limbs even the largest being about 7.5” in diameter. This saw doesn’t cut very small branches very well, seems to just want to chop them up a bit. So he just used hand clippers for the little branches. But to actually saw through 2”-8” limbs it is a gem. I even tried it myself and it was light and easy to handle. Something I would never say about his full size 20” gas powered chainsaw. The lilac bush/tree job was completed in about 45 minutes with battery power still available. My husband said thanks..this is the best mini saw he’s ever used. We hope the batteries and saw last a long time and we would recommend Tietoc. ... show more

I was really hesitant to buy this since I’ve never operated a chainsaw. But it’s great! Really light weight even with the battery. Convenient small size…fits into tight spots within the bushes. Battery power is outstanding…was pruning a bunch of huge overgrown bushes and was at it for about 3-4 hours. Only had to use one battery and at finish still had 3 bars. Just a tip because instructions are only half helpful. I had to adjust the chain and then couldn’t replace the black cover evenly. I couldn’t get a snug fit. Finally figured it out, and this isn’t mentioned in the instructions…when turning the screw to tighten the chain, it’s moving a little nut on the underside. So to put the cover back, that nut needs to line up with a hole below it on the actual saw. I had been messing with it and didn’t realize it was out of alignment when reassembling. Thus far, I have only used this mini chainsaw once. I cut down about 10 wild mulberry trees in my backyard, which keep trying to grow in my perennial gardens every year. This saw was perfect for this job, since most of the trees were no more than 4" thick at the base. Each battery lasted only about 1 hour before it ran out of juice. The saw got stuck a few times in the trunks of the trees when the battery started running low. The saw doesn't cut nearly as smooth or fast as the commercials show, but it gets the job done faster and easier than a hand saw. You can only use one side of the saw to cut a stump down the the ground, because the saw sticks out several inches where the motor is on one side. This saw is not left-handed friendly. The safety switch is on the left side of the handle, making it difficult for a left-handed person to press down on it while simultaneously pressing on the trigger, which is necessary when first starting the saw. Ordinarily, for a right handed person, the thumb would be by the safety switch and your the trigger finger would be on the opposite side of the handle by the trigger. This makes it easy to press down on both the safety button and the trigger at the same time, when you initially start the saw. You don't have that benefit when you use your left hand. Your thumb will be nowhere near the safety button. It will be on the opposite side on the right hand side of the handle instead, so you won't be able to easily start the saw left-handed. I had to start the saw right-handed and then continue to press the trigger to keep the saw running while switching hands in order to cut left handed. It is not ideal for left handers, but it is typical. Most of us are forced to adapt or become ambidextrous. ... show more

    • Worked Better than I Expected!

I wasn't expecting much from this. In fact, I thought it would be a return, but for the price point I decided to give it a try. We had a bad windstorm come through right after this arrived. I used this to cut branches and smaller trees that didn't make it. WARNING: This does not come with bar and chain oil so you will have to pick some up. PROS: Worked surprisingly well! Battery 1 lasted about 3 hours of continuous cutting. I cut through 8 to 10 inch branches and trees with this!! It didn't heat up or get stuck. I like the tiny oil storage bottle The extra chain and guide were a nice bonus The brush to get in and clean out all the saw dust from the nooks and crannies was priceless!! Great addition! Super easy to operate. The instruction guide is well done for replacing chain and guard. There was lovely note included in the box from the manufacturer, which I found very impressive. CONS: The case is really cheap. It works, but you wouldn't want to drop this a lot. The gloves aren't going to stop any cuts and the safety glasses are super cheap. I wouldn't trust this if you need it. The battery strength light is odd. Don't go by this. It shows fully charged, but you need to wait for the indicator light on the charger to go green before it is fully charged. (By the way it took about 2 hours to fully charge) I am totally happy with the chainsaw! I loved the personal note from the company, and was impressed that each battery lasted about 3 hours with continuous use cutting hardwoods and knotty ponderosa pine up to 10 inches! ... show more
