  • Solid
Color: Yellow
If you use heavier weight (25 pounds and up) you may need a stronger weight clip. Aside from that solid product. Gets the job done.

  • Decent
Color: Yellow
Overall, this is a decent product if you’re looking to add to your home gym. Some minor Cons: You need an additional Allen wrench (not the size that is included) to tighten the plastic cover to the center support rod. The plastic cover is smooth, so snap collar that is included tends to slide a bit, and isn’t adjustable. ... show more

  • Not really what was expected.
Color: Yellow
I was looking for more of a portable piece of equipment that focused on leg extension, not sure of how many people are looking to work on their shins, but I guess there are people looking to do so. Overall, it does not work for the goal of what I was trying to accomplish. But, it is not worth returning. ... show more

  • Good product but has some flaws
Color: Yellow
Recieved item in timely manner. Product is in good quality and it does its job but had to modify and put a pool noodle where you put your feet in because even with the adjustment any regular foot will NOT fit and will be too loose. Over all ok Product

  • Great way to address an often untrained muscle
Color: Red
I've had knee problems since forever and I've been following the famous Kneesovertoes guy's routines the last few years to great success. I got to the point where I needed to add some weight to up my Tibialis training to the next level when wall lifts were no longer cutting it. This bar-raise machine does the trick and is making my old butt think I can dunk again lol. 8/10 I would recommend it. I hope this review is helpful. ... show more

  • Versatile, well-constructed
Color: Red
Compare the tibialis to the back of the leg, and it doesn't seem like much muscle at all. Yet, we become very aware of it when it's strained. Shin splints can be agonizing. Despite this, you seldom see people training their tibialis. The typical method is to do a reverse calf raise. I long ago incorporated it into my calf training, for both seated and standing calf raises. The problem is it's not much muscle at all compared to my calf muscles and because I'm using the same weight I have to reduce the number of reverse raises per set (thereby reducing time under tension) plus just not do them every set (therefore reducing volume). This tibialis trainer provides a convenient way to train the tibialis separately. Using this, I can keep with a relatively light weight and thus get the time under tension I need to stimulate muscle growth. I found this awkward at first, and I attribute that to my past practice of rote reps instead of feeling the muscle and mentally connecting with it. What I mean by that is if you just do an up/down motion of dropping the heel you're not really engaging this muscle for functional strength. By using a "free floating" device like this, you're forced to control the tension, speed of contraction, and other factors. That builds coordination with stabilizer muscles. It's like the difference between doing a squat and using a leg press (the former being a far better option than the latter). The device itself is made with the same heavy duty channel steel construction that my Olympic bench is made with, and the weight bar fits Olympic weights. The quick release weight collar is nice, very easy to use and it stays secure. You can also use this for core training. For example, sit on a bench and do a leg lift. Because it's free-floating rather than confined to a straight line as is a leg extension attachment (or machine), you again engage stabilizers. In fact, if you apply your imagination you can design several exercises using this device for more than just training your tribialis. ... show more
