The price of this device was pretty reasonable so I decided to give it a try. I activated the device 10 minutes before doing some work on my car in the driveway. I live and hunt in Louisiana. Our state bird is the mosquito....... This takes about 10 minutes to really get the total protection. But after that you, forget that you are in the mosquito infested woods. This thing is incredible!!!!

This is an excellent product especially if you feel like mosquitoes always seem to find you. I love the portability of the product. I just clip it to my belt loops and make sure it is turned on before I head outdoors. Great in the middle of the summer heat.

This is the second one that I've ordered as I lost the first one. It works great to keep the mosquitoes away. I wish it came standard with a belt clip as you can only really use it when you're standing or sitting still. It lasts quite a long time. It's a bit bulky but as long as it works, it's not too inconvenient. I take it anywhere there are likely to be mosquitoes. It's lightweight so easy to throw into a backpack. I just don't understand why it doesn't come with a clip or some way to attach it to a belt or a bag. ... show more

I’ve used this primarily in my shop and when I remember to turn it on there are noticeably less to no misquotes at all, when my legs are usually getting chewed up. Used it a couple of times on the patio with similar effectiveness.

Took this out on a hike today and it seemed to perform well. It's very easy to set up and use and did a decent job of keeping the bugs out of my face. I originally attached it to the back of my pack but moved it to the front shoulder strap and it worked much better for me. It's a bit heavy but not bad. When first activated you can smell the fuel a bit and occasionally see wisps of smoke but that dissipates. As stated in the literature it works best if you're standing still but I found it to work very satisfactorily as I hiked. For some reason I am a mosquoto magnet and always have been. Ive tried everything there is, and Thermacell is the ONLY thing I have found that actually repels mosquitoes. It's amazing. Im a skeptic when I hear about "miracle" products, but this thing works. If I'm sitting outside, all I have to do is put this next to me or even on the ground under my chair, and no bites. Plus, if there IS a scent, it must be very mild because I cant smell it. ... show more
