Description

Control fleas inside your home without sprays with the TERRO Refillable Flea Trap. This trap detects, monitors, and controls flea infestations by lure fleas from up to 30 feet away using light and heat as attractants. Fleas leap into the trap where they get stuck fast on a SuperGrabber replaceable glue board. The glue boards will also capture other insects that attempt to cross its path. This trap also features a protective canopy that keeps objects, people and pets from coming in contact with the sticky glue board. The TERRO Refillable Flea Trap is easy to use. To set up, simply extend the canopy until it clicks into place, insert the glue board and remove the release paper, and then turn on the light. Place the trap on the floor in an area where fleas are common – typically where your pet spends a lot of time. Put in a fresh glue board every two to four weeks. This trap includes two glue board inserts, with additional refills sold separately.

I bought this flea trap after finding fleas on both my cat and dog. I treated them again with more topical applications, but I could still see fleas in my carpet, and with my son being 2 months old this was absolutely unacceptable. I bought a spray for the house but I still wanted to make sure they were all dead. Setup of the trap was incredibly easy, took me about a minute to put together. After the first night it had probably 5 or so fleas on it, and ever since then has been attracting more. I alternate which room it’s in to make sure I get the fleas from each room, and I don’t worry about leaving it plugged in when I’m not at home. The Terro Flea Trap works good for me as no fleas get on me. Comparing to flea spray: I sprayed a whole bottle in the room and still had fleas. The Terro Flea Trap is advertised to have a range of 30 feet. The fleas are attracted by the warmth of the light and IMHO there must be a straight line between any place in the room and the trap.. The instructions are very poor in this regard. I see comments that the trap does not work and I suspect that placement is a problem. ... show more

It is a very clever and effective idea that 100% works as advertised. The lightbulb burnt out and was visibly black after I decided to leave it plugged in for three days straight. I was not upset I just got new bulbs and they immediately didn’t work. Upon further inspection with my camera and light, I noticed that the socket itself is actually melted. You might consider making this out of a material with a higher melting temperature. I appreciate the clever and effective idea! I am going to construct a larger version of my own. Just build a frame out of wood and hang a heat light from it. You do not have to be an engineer to be able to construct your own. It’s fairly simple, Just please make sure there is no fire hazard, which is why I’m going to hang the light so it is not making contact with any wood or too close to generate enough heat to cause a fire. This flea trap is one of a kind. There is no smell from packaging. You open it up and just snap a few things together and plug it in. The light has a decent output, it's warm lighting. Durability is there. Not thick plastic legs, but they hold up great. Size is about 6"x6"x6", just going off the top of my head. It's able to fit in a lot of places. The traps are decently sticky. Nothing like rat trap sticky, but enough to hold fleas and Flys. The life of the light bulb was not long at all. Maybe a week worth of hours in the bulb and it went out. Altogether, I'd say it was worth it. It caught about a dz fleas in the time we had it running before the bulb burnt out. (We do live in the country and have a lot of stray animals coming and going. Aprox 2 or 3 fleas a day come inside from just walking outside and back in.) But this is a lot more convenient then spraying chemicals, or constantly having to wash everything in hot water to kill the fleas thay make their way inside. (We do not have pets inside, so I can not vouch for how effect it would be from helping with fleas on pets. Such as if the fleas would prefer the light to the animals) ... show more

My yard and house got infested with fleas. Stray cats hang out in my yard and my dog got fleas. We treated the yard and house with flea spray. I thought I'd try these. These traps are amazing. I have 3 traps. They work great! I was shocked how many fleas these traps caught when first placed. I've changed the glue boards once and still caught more fleas. I'm not seeing adult fleas on the traps anymore but I am seeing what must be newly hatched fleas. Between the spray and traps, the flea infestation is diminishing. ... show more

I initially ordered one of these around May and after seeing how well it attracted fleas I ordered 2 more in July 2024. They all worked well until about a week ago, when one of the lighting units failed. It was from the set of 2 I ordered in July. I contacted Terro as the unit has a 1 yr guarantee, on Tuesday of this week. Today, which is Friday, I received an entire new unit and they did not require me to send back the non-functioning light unit. I have the units plugged in 24/7. I ordered a supply of replacement trap sheets and change them every 2 weeks or less depending on how full they get. The replacements have worked just as well as the original ones. I have a Yorkie and 2 cats and I cannot risk spraying chemicals all over so this is a very safe and effective alternative. And Terro stands behind this product very impressively. ... show more

The amount you pay for what is a cheap bulb (burned out after 2 weeks for me) and some plastic is not worth the price. I will say the glue is effectivd so I will give it that but I recommend you just get a cheap lamp and point it at a bowl of dish soap water or a some duct tape to kill the fleas without paying the high price for what should be half the price they sell it for. ... show more
