  • Working out doesn't have to be painful!
I recently read Luna Light's "Wall Pilates Workouts for Women" book which has been an absolute game changer for my exercise routine. I've always needed help getting into working out consistently, with many exercises being too complex for me as a beginner, leading me to give up quickly. This book has changed that for me, providing easy instructions and many exercises that allow me to find what works for my body that day. What really sets this book apart is the focus on safety - with a note on how to breathe correctly and tips to avoid injury - which gave me the confidence to try new exercises without fear of hurting myself. The book itself is also very aesthetically pleasing, which is an added bonus. If you want workouts that are challenging but manageable that will lead you to becoming a better you and maybe even moving on beyond wall pilates, then this is the perfect introductory book for you.   • Very detailed, thoughtful Pilates guide
I’ve been hesitant to try Pilates, but this book is very thoughtfully written with beginners in mind, while also leaving plenty of room to grow into some of the more advanced poses. I particularly appreciated the frequent reminders to go slow, rest, and take days off as needed. The suggestions for different routines were very helpful, as I was a little unsure where to start before seeing those pages. As for the poses themselves, the photos are straightforward and help clarify what exactly it is I’m supposed to be doing. If I still need a little help due to my complete lack of Pilates background, the instructions and tips on the next page walk me through what each body part should be doing and helps to avoid any common pitfalls. So all those pop-up ads really made me curious about wall Pilates. This book answers those questions and has several work-out guides with illustrated exercises--everything you need to get started, except the wall. I ordered the kindle version, but would recommend buying the paperback version. For me, having a book with large illustrations would be better than having them on the phone. ... show more

  • Great book!
I have been wanting to try pilates for a while now. I tried another book, but I never really did anything with it. The photos were really hard to understand. This book is great, though. I tried many of the positions as I went through. Some were pretty hard for this old out of shape girl! The images and descriptions of the exercises are easy to understand and follow. There is a lot of background information too, which is great, but it wasn't my main focus. I wanted to jump into the exercises. I look forward to continuing to use this great guide and finally start a real routine. ... show more

  • Much needed
I needed this book because some exercises I used to do I cannot now due to injuries and age. However I may find it difficult to get off the floor afterward- HaHa. Thanks for the information, I'm sure I will be referring to it quite often.

  • Good starter book
Good starter book. Im a bit more advanced in my wall pilates and got about 10 new exercises to try out from this book. Not bad. Enjoyed the instructions, pictures, and dedication to understanding how it can support people.

  • The perfect way to strengthen my core!
Several of my friends have raved about the positive impact of Pilates on their core strength and overall fitness. Finally ready to dive into it, it was important for me to learn at my own pace and time. I have just what I need with The Wall Pilates Workout Book For Women! This book was easy to read; it has great explanations of each exercise, and my favorite part is the suggested workouts based on your fitness goals.   • Great Book!
Awesome book with colorful illustrations. Lots of different positions, and great information on why the position and movements are valuable to our health. I really enjoyed this book, and will be using these great tips!
