Description

Over 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain. Lower back pain alone accounts for more than $50 billion of lost work time and worker’s compensation claims annually. And let’s consider the fact that there are 600,000 knee replacement surgeries performed each year in the United States, and sadly, 20 percent of those patients end up with chronic pain after surgery. The normal “solutions” we’ve been taught involve seeking out more doctors, surgeries, injections, and medications, all of which have a place in healing. But when it comes to chronic pain, conventional medicine isn’t getting the job done. So what can we do? In The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief, which builds on the information contained in the New York Times bestseller The Tapping Solution, Nick Ortner presents a startling alternative. He lays out a step-by-step plan that teaches people how to use tapping, or EFT (emotional freedom techniques), to reduce or eliminate chronic pain. Looking at the scientific research surrounding pain, stress, and tapping, he opens readers eyes to just how powerful tapping can be, and then outlines tips and techniques to address pain in both the short and long term. Nick guides readers on a journey that begins on the surface—tapping to address the pain itself—and moves to the deeper issues that often affect pain. With easy-to-follow tapping scripts and exercises to guide readers into their pasts, Nick helps them heal the emotional pain and underlying beliefs that often keep people stuck. He also addresses topics that many people don’t know are associated with chronic pain, such as: Releasing the pastCreating personal boundariesDealing with toxic relationshipsClearing resistance to changeUnderstanding the power of a diagnosisWorking through anger There are many different ways the brain and body can create, increase, and prolong pain. In these pages, Nick helps readers understand what is causing their pain and provides them with the tools to achieve complete and lasting pain relief. But it’s about more than just pain relief; it’s about empowering readers to take back their bodies, so they can live the life they most desire. Read more

  • A positive game changer to pain management
I've had a chronic pain condition since 2012. In many ways, the treatment was worse than the pain; tests, meds, injections, spinal cord stimulator, and humiliating judgement from health professionals, family and friends. A dear friend gave me this book. I let it sit on a shelf for 2 yrs. thinking it was too simple to help my complex pain issues. Then I hit rock bottom and decided I had nothing left to lose by trying it. It helped me to identify underlying factors that contributed to pain and provided a roadmap for taking control using a this technique. In 2016 I took my life back because of this book. I still experience pain. I'm just able to take control of it without meds, injections or surgeries. I have purchased several copies over the years to give away. ... show more

  • Excellent Guidance And Solutions To Pain
Excellent book which may shift the way the world deals with pain. So many people suffer with pain and this method is easy to learn. Nick Ortner is an expert and helps thousands of people. He writes in a user-friendly way so you can learn this fast and use it when you need it. I use tapping to relieve pain and it works. I also use tapping to relieve stress and fear and it works. I use tapping if I fall on the ice, burn my hand or cut my finger and it reduces not only the pain but the bleeding and swelling and tapping quickens my recovery time. Nick Ortner has written a book that is easy to follow and will help you, your family and friends. (See Photos) I cut my finger in the garden with scissors. The cut was deep and painful. I applied pressure with my index finger, held my hand above my heart and then used tapping with my other hand. The first picture was 24 hours later and the deep cut has healed the tissue together so there is no deep gash. There was no pain and I even did the dishes with a glove that eveing. In 4 days the wound was healed. Ask yourself, Who would you be without your pain? ... show more

  • If you have done online tapping-- get a book too --you will thank yourself for doing so
Besdies tapping I do other extensive healing/energy work and have mega training in a lot of disciplines--but I am always fixing other people---its easy for me - but fixing yourself is much more difficult---and as many tools as you have available to work with is great-- as well as applying them on a daily or weekly basis-- This book is carefully written and regardless of how you do with the tapping parts of it-- really it was one of the best overall grasp of psychology mixed with energy-- and application of a method--ie maybe the first attempt isnt going to get it all-- but if things are moving/then keep at it--- great lesson--especially thru these intense over dramatic times---like you may not achieve it all today but you might tomorrow or the day after... ... show more

  • Highly Regarded help for Chronic Pain
currrentli This book was recommended to me by the Osteopath trying to keep me out if yet another spine surgery. I give it 4 stars as I trust her trearment Unfortunately, I've read very little as pain this severe makes it difficult to concentrate. Yet, this caring & gifted physician is aiming to keep me away from a third spinal surgery, apparently others have experienced considerable success. Hopefully I'll continue where I left off to gain the benefits of this purchase. If, like me, you have problems with attention span & memorizing where to tap & whenand what & to tell yourself while is agony, reading a book or recalling memorized materiial concentration is challenged ... show more

  • A passionate and well-written book on the benefits of tapping for pain relief
Being familiar with tapping and Nick’s other book, I purchased this book for my daughter who lives with pain daily. This book is a stand-alone for either people familiar with tapping or are new to the process. It is an easy read and it only took me a day or two to get through it. The title says it all: The Tapping Solution for Pain: A Step-By-Step Guide. There is a thorough explanation (in my layman’s eyes anyway) on the tapping process and why it works, along with countless tapping scripts to release stress, frustration and limiting beliefs due to pain. This book is not only beneficial for those who suffer with pain but also from a gamut of emotions including stress and overwhelm. I found it fascinating that chronic pain itself becomes the diagnosis after repressed emotions become buried deep within the body (due to an injury or emotional trauma). The emotions surrounding that traumatic experience manifest as actual physical symptoms, sometimes taking years to present. How encouraging and exciting, that tapping on these emotions has the potential to release chronic daily pain! The Tapping Solution for Pain Relief: A Step-by-Step Guide is a passionate, well-written and enjoyable book.It is filled with hope and possibilities for anyone who has suffered with chronic or immediate pain. Kudos Nick, well done! ... show more

  • This Book Is A Must Read!
This book is a must read for all of us looking for something to help ourselves. This book is about EFT, also known as Emotional Freedom Therapy. The author, who I have developed a high regard for, prefers to call this technique, "Tapping", hence the title,"The Tapping Solution". It describes how to use acupuncture points at specific locations, and, combined with psychology, and self affirmations, can be used to help control pain. From my experience, it works! I have been a chronic pain patient for over ten years, and I have noticed a dramatic decline in my discomfort. There are many patients who have eliminated their pain. I hope everyone reads this book, and if you aren't a reader, then Google the author. Then go to his web site and click on any link where he and fellow therapists, health associates, and physicians, describe their experience with clients and patients, through the Tapping method. Tapping is a Mind-Body health discipline that is rapidly gaining acceptance. Please don't stop seeing and following your Doctor's instructions. Always check with him or her first. I have a feeling that there will be no conflict. Live Long, and start Tapping! ;-) ... show more
