  • A lot of useful tools and information
While a lot of books and people tell you that forgiveness is good for you or even required as a Christian, they seem to end there and don't give you tools to help you through the process of forgiving, and instead give the impression that all you have to do is to say "I forgive you" or want to forgive. I have a stack of books and have spent time with therapists that don't seem to have those tools. It's been so frustrating, and has added to the pain of the initial trauma. This book seems to actually describe the process, acknowledge how lengthy and difficult it can be, and gives you tools to chip away at it. There is a bit of the "forgiveness is good for you" argument, but it doesn't stop there. It doesn't rush you, but rather encourages you to take it slowly. Not being ready to forgive isn't presented as a moral failing, but rather is supported and helped, and you're encouraged to go at your own pace. I have found over the years that there seem to be multiple definitions of "forgiveness", many of which seem to focus on absolving the perpetrator and leaving the victim high and dry and without a path toward healing. This book focuses on the healing process. I wish there were more books and tools that go into this sort of depth and wisdom. ... show more

  • A Valuable Tool for Therapy
The Forgiveness Workbook is a practical resource for both therapists and clients. It is easy to follow, with exercises and prompts that guide clients through the process of understanding and practicing forgiveness. This workbook can be especially helpful in therapy sessions, offering a structured way to explore and release negative emotions. I suggest using it as a supplement to regular therapy, as it encourages deeper reflection and healing. ... show more

  • Helpful Resource
This book is very helpful because forgiveness is a choice but also a process. I wanted to forgive but the betrayal was so deep I wasn't sure how. This workbook helped walk me through the steps of making peace with what happened and beginning to let go. I like that it allowed me to take my time and not rush myself. I was ablw to process and give myself grace in my struggle to forgive. I recommend this book for anyone who has been hurt. ... show more

  • This book is nice but feels a little bit redundant
I’ve been working on this book for quite some time and I’m not sure that I making any progress because it just seems like I’m being asked the same question in different ways. Also, it’s quite a bit of reflective writing so if you are not the type to journal, then this book isn’t for you. However I really like how easy it is to read and the layout is pleasing to the eyes. ... show more

  • Get it! Trust it. Stick through it.
The media could not be loaded. I’m not even done with the workbook, but I love it already. This is definitely a must if one isn’t exactly ready to meet with a therapist or if financial means for therapy is the issue…get this. I have some background and education in psychology and child development/education…and this is pretty legit in how it’s set up. I think someone in a review mentioned it was repetitive in some parts, but it’s not. The thing is you have to really take this serious. Dig deep. Feel into it. You’re suppose to break everything apart. Focus on the biggest thing/person/experience/situation that just keeps pulling you and have had issues getting those emotions or thoughts out of mind. Some questions might make you feel like , “wait I think I answered that.”. But re-read the question and review the section (stage) you are in, and what you have previously wrote. Think deeper, there has to be more emotion or thoughts or connections to be made and let out. I go about the workbook in small chunks. Because there are parts…you should be taking time to reflect on and come back to. Or read it well and then take a moment, as it advices you to, reflect on it, feel it. Follow through. There should be more workbooks like this one. 🙏🏼 Love it. When I finish a page or a few pages, I feel so much better about so much. I understand we can all journal and write out a lot to heal in any journal. But this is guided very well in my opinion. So that you focus on what is needed to understand or be on your way to, forgiveness and understanding oneself. I love how it makes me feel afterwards. It definitely feels safe. And it feels good to know this workbook is by someone with the proper education and experience of the subject. Worth it. Get it. Do it for yourself. It will be a huge favor. It’s self-love. If you don’t know where to start. Start here. But feel into it. Follow through. Reflect and do it. We have more than enough thoughts floating in our mind, body and spirit to more than fill up the pages on this workbook. Get them out. ♥︎ ... show more
