  • Testo Smart Probe Kit I HVAC/R Gauge Set ~ Includes testo 115i and 549i
Review for Testo Smart Probe Kit I HVAC/R Gauge Set ~ Includes testo 115i and 549i. Wow what a great idea and I am upset not to have got this Bluetooth kit sooner. I travel for a living and this set is small, quick to connect and accurate. Battery life is great and easy to grab AAA is better than factory battery that would be hard to get quickly if failed. Testo you made several field engineers at a multi billion dollar firm very happy. Yes you can test oil, air, refrigerant, etc pressure and vac. ... show more

  • Everyone in the HVAC business needs this
Bluetooth more stable than other manufacturers. Nice to use and ease of set up with the application.

  • A must have for HVAC professionals
Lightweight, affordable and durable. Works great on android phones, not so great on iPhone.

  • needs better software, but works.
Not using a manifold match, it displays as readings, and not as a pressure gauge display. Does not graph without a manifold match, in pressure mod. Software weak to me. Then the 557 manifold cannot use a temperature other then two hi/low lines, at the same time. So a mix bag of what works for you. Like the quick pressure adapters, lose less freon removing then a hose full. Vacuum does not give a reading until 10,000 microns I believe. Phone app was very interesting to graph the vacuum as it dips up and down constantly, guessing the gassing out of the oil. Deeper vacuum , more shallow dipping. Maybe I am still learning the software , but poor instructions . ... show more

  • I live em
I bought these as a replace my for my 563’s which I sadly left in the rain at 1 month old. These gauges instantly came to mind. If you’ve ever done commercial PM’s you can appreciate the ease of getting your readings without fishing hoses through door jams. Also, get some low losses, they’ll come in handy because these connections will lose some refrigerant. I work in critical facilities and we can’t afford any refrigerant in the air. I also have the smans, the larger the unit the harder it is to get readings. ... show more

  • It does the job
I'm a PM tech for all the CVS's in western NC. I use these to perform their customer task form which includes checking pressures and calculating SH&SC. I like the compact slim design of the case as it fits in my milwaukee bookbag nicely. I like how they leave room for other components if you want to expand and buy more of their wireless products. I like the lanyards as I can wrap 2 temp clamps and 2 guages around one wrist leaving my hands free to carry other tools from unit to unit. Also, I like how your not waisting refrigerant like you would with 3' to 5' hoses. What I don't like is the bluetooth range. Make sure you are within a 5' radius or they will disconnect. Also, they don't work too well on extremely hot days. Sometimes all the components will not connect. The light that blinks when connected is faint and I have to cup my hands over it and my eye to see the connection status. And even then its still hard to see. Last but definitely not least, you'll want to throw away the plastic seal around the core depresser. One day one of them fell out and didn't have any rubber replacements. Oh well, they dont work that well anyways. I replaced both with rubber seals and now I basically zero refrigerant leak when making connections. All in all I would buy them again based off the compact design alone. I need something that doesn't take up a lot of room and leaves me able to carry more tools with less trips. Update: After having these for over a year I’m ready to toss these in the trash! Losses connection all the time no matter how close. Constantly having to put in new rubber o rings every 15 time using these. Even with brand new ones they leak when connecting. I wish I bought feildpiece. They never replaced the o ring and have very long Bluetooth range. These are complete waste of my money. Probably wouldn’t be so mad if I didn’t pay over $500 for mine. Update: After a year and a half I can not trust these probes anymore. I was constantly thinking that something wrong with the ac unit having high head pressure of over 600 to 800psi. When that would happen I would check another unit and my gauges would read fine. So I was certain it was the ac unit. Let me back up and say I added a low loss fittings on them to help with refrigerant loss. Well, yesterday my o ring was leaking so I took it off. But I noticed that my pressures were still going up even though they were disconnected. So I figured the refrigerant being trapped in the low loss is causing all my problems. Sadly I’m absolutely done with these and will no longer use them. My company supplied me with yellow jacket wireless gauges and they don’t loose any refrigerant when connecting. ... show more
