Added a ABS case, which is protective and dust-proof. Disply: 2.8 inch TFT (320 x240)
  • [IMPROVED FREQUENCY ALGORITHM] The improved frequency algorithm can use the odd harmonic extension of si5351 to support the measurement frequency up to 1.5GHz. The 50K-300MHz frequency range of the si5351 direct output provides better than 70dB dynamic, The extended 300M-900MHz band provides better than 60dB of dynamics, and the 900M-1.5GHz band is better than 40dB of dynamics
  • [MULTIPLE FUNCTIONS] The default firmware main function is used for antenna performance measurement. The TX/RX method can measure the complete S11 and S21 parameters. If you need to obtain S12 and S22, you need to manually replace the transceiver port wiring. The CH0 output level is increased to 0dBm when using the fundamental wave, resulting in more accurate reflection measurement
  • [SUPPORT ANDROID PHONE & PC SOFTSARE CONTROL] Designed a practical and simple control application on PC, you can download touchstone(SNP) files for radio design and simulation software. There is a PC interface that adds functionality and lets you work interactively on a bigger screen. Supports time domain analysis function (TDR). Compatible with most Android mobile phones, convenient for connecting to mobile phones. Support Windows Computer Control
  • [STRONG AND SECURE POWER SUPPLY] This VNA is battery powered or USB powered. Built in 650mAh battery, could work for 2 hours continuously. • Excellent budget tool (SD Card 'Fail write' error seems can be solved)
I use it for my hobby to make/tune HF/VHF/UHF antennas, HF baluns, ununs to measure SWR (it's nice to see a graph for entire band), insertion loss, reactance, Smith Chart and there is more parameters I didn't try/don't know about yet. But there are lots of good videos on youtube about how to use nanoVNA. Of course there are better much more expensive options for antenna tuning, but I'm on budget and it's excellent tool for the price. This unit does has some limitations: - microSD Card is a nice feature to save screenshots/data files, but I had problems with that. I returned first device because of 'Fail write' error (I tried different 16GB/32GB/128GB cards with no luck). I reordered nanoVNA again, and got the same error. But it looks like there is a solution I found in nanoVNA groups.io. This device does not support newer SD cards. So I found an older slow 16GB SD card, formatted in FAT32 on Windows, inserted SD card in device powered off, powered on device and it looks like it started to work with SD card. I tried the same card before and it didn't work. Not sure maybe it's because originally I inserted the card with device powered on or it had some format issues, but now it finally started to work. To be on safe side I would power off nanoVNA before inserting/ejecting the card. - Only 100 points of measure, so if I set entire 3.5-30MHz band device has a step about 250kHz that is not enough to tune multiband antenna to exact frequency on each ham band. Also device must be re-calibrated for each new band range that is not very convenient. However a good thing that several bands can be saved as a preset, so it's manageable. - Small TFT screen is okay for me, however it's hard to read data in a sunny day, so not the best option for outside. Also sometimes graph covers text, so text is unreadable. - Questionable reliability. It's packaged well and has nice cables, but it's not built like a tank. It's more for indoor use. If I had unlimited budget for my hobby I would get RigExpert for outside use or considered more expensive nanoVNA model with 400 points of measurement and probably bigger screen. But, for the price this model is a way to go for me. It does work and helps me a lot. Overall excellent value. ... show more

  • Works Well
Just got the NanoVNA (enhanced version) a few days ago. There are no instructions in the box but there are excellent helps on YouTube and at the NanoVNA website. I used it to check a 2 Meter vertical antenna and I am pleased with the performance. I found it easy to use and it gives a lot of helpful information. If you are not familiar with antenna measurements, it might take a while to figure out what everything means. But all-in-all a very helpful tool especially for the price. ... show more

  • Very capable VNA, not for peeps with vision issues
Very capable VNA. Screen is a not on the smallish side, but for the pricepoint, not bad. Be sure to calibrate touch screen before trying to use. Otherwise the stylus will be constantly selecting wrong menu option.

  • Invaluable and affordable
I have only been in to ham radio for a short time but I have had cb radios since my teenage years. This little device is a game changer for people like me on a very limited budget but that want to be in the hobby of radios. This allows me to analyze my antennas before I even put them up on the pole so that I can more quickly tune and mount them. Normal antenna analyzers cost many times more than this does, but this has many features of the more expensive units. This one takes some learning but I found that it was way easier than I was lead to believe from reviews. I had watched videos of people using it before but really didn't pay attention to the menu choices they used because I figured it would probably be different than the firmware I would receive when I got one. I used it for the first time today after watching a 5 minute video and playing with the device and exploring the menu system. Between the few videos I had seen over the last few months and the 1 video today I was able to calibrate the device and analyze the swr of a mobile cb antenna I had within just a few minutes. I actually had fun seeing the graph change as I touched the antenna and vibrated the spring it was on. I haven't checked into upgrading firmware or anything yet other than formatting a micro sd card for it and making sure it worked with the nanovna. I was able to use a 128gb sd card I had that was extra by using a windows app that let me format it to FAT32. Worked like a charm. I'm not sure why I didn't pick up one of these earlier for how useful it is but I would definitely recommend one if you are into Ham radio or cb. ... show more

  • surprisingly good
I use HP/Agilent Network analyzers somewhat frequently throughout my week, and to see this work as well as it does is astonishing. It's by far more responsive than I imagined it would be and the windows UI that's available for it is nice too. ditch the cables they included, there is some serious signal degradation through them, I will say that much. But aside from the cables, I was fascinated to see plastic dielectric couplings included with something that is supposed to go to 5GHz, although this does not detract from the device itself. all around, it's impeccable value for money, considering other devices from more reputable manufacturers would cost thousands of dollars. I was also surprised by the abundance of features that they've packed into this device, and I'm curious how this will work on a day to day basis, for now, my review is five stars, ... show more

  • Awesome VNA meter.
Should have bought this a long time ago. I recently purchased a cheaper version of this without the case. For a few bucks more. I suggest you buy this one with the case and the ability to take a microSD card. Item came well packaged and it works straight out of the box. There are a numerous tutorials on YouTube on how to calibrate the meter. I suggest you watch them as it is pretty easy to do and take a a few minutes to do. This is just another tool to add to the ham box. It also a very useful tool to test out antenna to show you what band is the antenna is cut for and the SWR you're getting back to the radio. Don't solely rely on this. But it's a great tool to give you a baseline where the antenna "sweet spot" its at. I tested several HT antenna you can clearly see where the band or bands the antenna is at. Great and awesome tool for ham operators. Very well made and happy with the purchase. ... show more
