I cannot attest to its sensitivity, but, it seems to work well. The logging function is especially impressive. It logs the levels with timestamps to internal memory and then you can download a CSV to your computer via a USB connection. Pretty cool!

I have radioactive material I use to test these kind of things. I have a professional one that I use as a baseline. This device does not tell you CPM and is highly inaccurate. The tube used inside to detect radiation is as small as a tic-tac and is not in the top but housed inside the device and is surrounded by plastic. And the clicking sound barely makes any noise. Couldn’t get this to work at all, I went a borrowed a Geiger meter from an old boss and his picked up on e everything, this one wouldn’t pick up on anything. Don’t waste your money.

Nice Geiger counter, it even has a toolbox as a package, and most importantly there are two modes, nuclear radiation detection and electromagnetic radiation detection, you don't need to buy two detectors with different functions, having this one is enough, all in all I highly recommend it.

this is not a Geiger counter but EMF meter, you can find the same device just for measuring the electromagnetic field just with a slightly different label

Regarding the radiation detector. Being that I do not have a radioactive source to verify sensitivity and accuracy, I had to be a bit creative. Based on some internet sources, background radiation is about 10 uSv/day. Continuously operating the unit for a number of days and averaging, the background was 13 uSv/day, slightly higher than the 10 uSv/day. Before I retired I occasionally used a piece of equipment that contained a licensed and regulated radioactive source. As a result, personnel and background was monitored. For brevity, it was known, based on the monitoring, that local bsckground was slightly elevated. So, after a few calcs, the 13 uSv is reasonable. ... show more
