Description

The Fluke TLK 225 SureGrip master accessory set includes a set of 1.5 m silicone insulated test leads with interchangeable clip sets including alligator clips, hook clips, pincer clips, large jaw alligator clips, and test probes. Over molded rubber surfaces on all parts provide a secure grip for accurate measurement The TL224 DMM test leads for digital multimeters have standard diameter banana plugs and are insulated to protect against heat and cold. The leads are rated to 10 amp and have one straight end connector and one right angle connector. Connectors are reinforced to relieve strain. The AC220 alligator set is rated to 10 amp and includes one red and one black clip that have small, insulated, nickel plated jaws and blunt tips to grab round screw heads up to 9.5 mm. The AC280 hook clips set is rated to 3 amp and includes one red and one black nickel plated hook clip with 6.4 mm hook openings at the front which narrow to 5.6 mm at the tip, and are 2 mm at the base. The AC283 pincer clip set is rated to 1 amp and includes one red and one black nickel plated pincer clip that open to 5 mm and have 11.4 cm flexible insulated shafts. The AC285 large jaw alligator clip set is rated to 10 amp and has one red and one black nickel plated steel alligator clip with a multipurpose tooth pattern for gripping parts in a range of sizes from fine gauge wire up 20 mm bolts. The TP175 TwistGuard test probe set is rated to 10 amp and includes one red and one black test probe. An adjustable tip length provides increased safety and precision. All accessories meet EC Directives 2004/108/EC, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC); and 2006/95/EC, Low Voltage (LVD); CAT III 1,000V; CAT IV 600V; UL listed. After two years, I've found few circuits that couldn't be easily, quickly and securely accessed with just the components in this set. The exception was larger contacts in old equipment, which were easily addressed by adding these: Fluke AC285 SureGrip Alligator Clips. Everything in this kit is useful and very well designed; there's no filler or junk, and it alone is sufficient for almost everything I use a meter for. I'm an AutoTech installer for Geek Squad, so I use my DMM almost every day when I'm at work. This kit has been a boon for me. The piercing probes are easily the best thing about this kit. They let you test wires without having to hunt them down at the source and try to t-pin into them. And depending on the application they can be used to help with testing mocked up circuits. That being said, be aware they can only handle 60VDC at 5A. If you go any higher than that the needle in the probe will heat up and will melt the core, ruining the probe...ask me how I know. (I loved these probes so much I bought a second kit just to replace the probe I ruined). The wire leads are long, like really long. At around 5.3ft. They're a little too long for my liking so I use them as backup lead wires. But the rest of the accessories work with the shorter interchangeable lead wires I have been using on my DMM for a while. The alligator clips work VERY well, the teeth are very sharp and you can rest assured that when you clamp them properly to a surface, they're not going anywhere. I mostly use my meter to find horn wires, test polarities on ignition circuits and what not, and the two default tips I have on my meter are one of the piercing probes and one of the big alligator clips. And best of all it comes with it's own pouch with clear pockets. So you can easily take it on the go, or leave it unrolled in your tool box and see what's in each pocket without having to dig through it. If you work with electronics on a regular basis in the automotive industry, this kit WILL NOT let you down. It's 100% worth the extra money than some of the similar kits on Amazon. I've been very happy with this kit, I use it at some point every day I work. Just another reason to trust and love the Fluke brand. But again, just make sure you don't pump anything more than 5A through the probes or you will regret it! ... show more

This is my second set. These are the best really well made and extremely reliable. In a professional environment reliability and safety are paramount. Buuuut they are very pricey!!! Although, buying this set is way cheaper than buying individually. But yeah you lose a star for the price sorry.
