Customers are complaining that these don't attract flys. I use it to attract whiteflies in my indoor plants and it does a great job at that. I have had a bad infestation of whiteflies and these strips have mostly eliminated them. My strips are almost white because of all the whiteflies on them. Flies are attracted to light colors. If this paper were white, it would attract more bugs! Instead, I found the flies were always alighting on my white walls, or a white sweater, but never on this brown tape. Also, I didn't find the thumb tack and the fabric loop useful for attaching this to the various places I needed to in my apartment, which isn't a barn with rough wood walls. Without a nail in your wall, or a surface you don't mind stabbing with a thumb tack, these are unnecessarily difficult to attach. If you’ve ever used these style traps, then you know they’re cheap but effective and are unbelievably simple to use. I’ve used ones in the past where the pull string sometimes breaks when used, but not a single one from this 8pack broke. However, I did open the pack to find that 1 roll was missing the cap and thus the glue was exposed to the open air. That one didn’t work as well as the others since the glue had began drying, but it did still work and caught its share of flies. I highly recommend these for camping trips, just be careful hanging inside your tent because that glue is STICKY! ... show more
