Got these for my parents to help them plant at their new house. Once these came they were packed away til they decided to try them. They told me they worked quite well. They are fairly small so they can't make anything tree sized but I would presume you could use it successivly and make a more substantial hole. I didn't get any negative feedback about the ability to work with their existing drills. The different lengths are definitely a plus ... show more

In PNW the soil is very hard and rocky. These made bulb planting much easier. I van barely break the soil don with a shovel on my hill slope and these augers made bulb planting very simple this year

I used this auger to plant an assortment of spring bulbs. Soil was dry and the holes filled in partially. Moist soil would have made this tool easier to use

used it to drill down in dense soil. must wet the soil beforehand. diameter of the two bigger bits is not the same as the description claims, the longer one is somewhat smaller in diameter than expected. the hex end is somewhat roundish, which forces you to tighten the chuck very strongly in order not to slip. all in all it did the job. ... show more
