The occurs are excellent for a variety of projects. We live in an area of dense clay, and the augers moved through it smoothly. We planted light poles and drilled holes to add fertilizer to the trees. This product flat out works.

    • A Blessing for Gardening In Hard Rocky Soil!

I have horrible red rocky clay soil in my yard which is so difficult to dig in that I need a heavy digging pole to dig holes more than a couple inches deep or wide. It is hard work and very frustrating to plant anything. I ordered a couple of shepherds' hooks recently for my garden, and I decided to try to make my life easier by ordering these augurs and drilling holes into my awful soil rather than trying to dig holes for the shepherds' hook prongs. I don't know why I didn't order these sooner because they have made a huge difference in my ability to quickly and easily dig holes for the shepherds' hooks as well as bulbs and plants. After I got the shepherds' hooks installed, I quickly and easily planted 50 narcissus bulbs in under an hour, a chore that would easily have taken me half a day of slow and difficult digging the old way. I like that there are different sizes and lengths of these augurs which will accommodate different planting hole sizes. The augurs are very easy to insert into the drill, are very sturdy, and made quick work drilling holes into my awful soil. I am sure I will be using them for a wide variety of chores such as aerating my compost piles, planting/transplanting. I only wish I had bought these years ago - they would have saved me many hours of drudgery and frustration! ... show more

Purchased augers to circulate my compost bin material. Large bit works like a dream with little effort. I currently have 3 compost bins, 2-27 gal and 1-20 gal. With the auger and my cordless drill, I complete the cycling process in about 2 minutes compared to about 7 minutes with a manual auger. Good price too. ... show more

I didn’t know there were even a thing until YouTube. I absolutely love these so much I ordered extra for my kids. Just wish they made one that was a bit wider. Comes with auger to dig large or small holes. Has held up very well through one season. This product is strong enough to stop a drill without bending either size auger. Very useful when planting my garden. Also saves a ton of time and kneeling down to dig.
