Just washed and set my hair. Easy to use, put on table and pulled up a chair. Perfect height for me. Used the hot setting and it did not burn my neck, etc.

    • Fantastic option for dignified drying on low-mobility/movement days.
On days where my health/pain issues prevent me from having easy/pain-free range of motion, I simply cannot dry my own hair with a conventional hair-blower.. which means either tying it back wet, or throwing on a cap for the shower and skipping a wash/rinse altogether. This at-home hooded dryer is a VERY high convenience for this use case, as it allows me the dignity of washed hair and drying without requiring a salon setting or another person to do it for me-- or letting it stay wet. Finding an adequate spot for this to sit was a little awkward, as I didn't have a place in my home that worked right off-- but I have a nook/booth in the kitchen that has a small shelf on the back, which I was able to put a stabilizing textbook to place the hood on. This gave the right height, so I can sit in the booth while my hair dries, and catch up on reading, or audio book, or coffee. It does decent in terms of drying time, and doesn't seem to be doing any heat damage, but I'm no expert on these areas-- definitely better for me than air-drying or not washing at all, which is great! Very satisfied with this, and just wish I felt more confident about its stability and placement. ... show more

When this arrived, I was dismayed at the size of the box. The dryer itself is not a lot smaller, but after one use, I've decided that I am going to find a place to store it when not in use. My grandmother had one of these at home when I was a child and I used to love sitting under it in cold weather. But that's not why I ordered this. I had bought some silicone "spool" rollers and I love the way they curl my long hair, but they were taking forever to air dry. When I used this Tasalon dryer, I could sit back with a good book and relax in the warm air. My hair dried in under 30 minutes, I relaxed, and my curls were beautiful. The dryer was quiet enough, even set at highest speed. I was able to have a short conversation without turning it off. The hood is huge; I think the biggest head with the fattest curlers would fit under it. The set up is simple and intuitive. I don't have enough room in my bathroom to set this on the counter, so I put it on a table, backed a chair up to it, and sat down under it. I was a little worried that it was not quite stable, say if I knocked it, so I got another chair with a higher back, which would prevent an upset. I did not see a way to adjust the height. I am short, so no problem for me. If I were taller, I'd either find a different table or console for it. I do confess, I did not think through where I was going to put this in an already packed house, so be sure you are aware of its size and where you want to store this before you order. However, once you order it, I suspect you are going to FIND a place for it, somehow, no matter how crowded your house is. ... show more

I love these bonnet dryers and this one is portable and light weight. You can take it just about anywhere you need to and it's very easy to use. It's more than powerful enough and you can choose from 3 different temperatures to keep you comfortable while using it.
