The boards fit snugly, which is good, but it means you absolutely will want to bolt it down. There are more elegant and more streamlined choices out there, but they’ll cost you triple the price. Product is alright, does exactly what you need it to do. I've had it for over a year now and it's still holding up. Don't think it's worth $100+ but you have to factor in the free shipping and this box is pretty large and heavy.

This is wonderful for our paddle boards! It’s nice that you don’t assemble with screws so we can easily take it apart when traveling. These hooks make it so easy to take apart when needed. Love that it has thick padding and the bars come up high for sturdiness. Love it!

    • A few small flaws
I got this assembled and it is sitting in my garage holding two paddleboards, so it is doing what it needs to do. There were a few things I noticed that need improvement. First, the holes on the crossbars are a little too small so the pins don't slip through them. I had to pull out a hammer and hammer those pins in. Second, there are no feet on the bottom. It is just the bare metal of the bar sitting on the floor. I would expect some sort of rubber feet to keep this from slipping around and scuffing whatever surface this is on. Obviously not a problem if this is on sand or dirt but a bigger problem on concrete and would be a really big problem on an indoor floor. The third issue is the strap supplied to hold the boards on has to go under the bottom bars that are flat on the floor. So you have to make sure to put the strap down before you put any boards on it. Of course when the stand is stationary you don't really need the strap, and if you put wheels on this thing then the bottom bars are off the ground. ... show more
