  • Works on the Harman P68 pellet stove
I hooked it up as described in the included paperwork with little to no difficulty (it is a solid piece of equipment that feels heavy for its size). The battery leads from the SureFire 512 had the 3/8" (?) ring type terminal lug attachments on them (not the alligator spring clips and not the fat 19 mm battery post connectors). The SureFire 512 ring terminal lug attachments slid right down onto the threaded posts that (luckily for me) were on the battery that I bought, that made the connection easy and secure with the nuts that came with the battery (I think the ring lugs on the SureFire 512 would probably work just fine with a battery that uses bolts too). I tested the Surefire 512 as the power source for our Harman P68 pellet stove that was in full operating/heating mode (about 15 minutes into the burning cycle). When I unplugged the wall power supply feeding the SureFire 512, the SureFire 512 automatically kicked in and kept the Harman P68 fans blowing and the flame burning - just as advertised. We will find out how long the battery I bought will keep this stove running when the power goes out for real. For now, we are happy to have spare hours to get the generator up and online while we still have heat functioning inside. ... show more

  • Does not provide zero interruption
The problem is that in case of a power interruption it doesn't take over instantly. There is a 1'4 second gap. We're on a thermostat controlled Harman (new) so the stove shuts down and you have to reset it. That requires you to be present when the outage occurs or else the stove will shut down and you will get smoke into the room. They advertise "no interruption" which isn't the case. ... show more

  • Ok for pellet stove but forget running your internet
Won't power starlink. Not sure which device is to blame. A bunch of money for a seasonal power supply.

  • Easy and relieving.
This DOES work for the Englander in my living room. Easy to understand and hook up. Straight-forward protection. Takes all of the fear away from power outages, as pellets are our primary heat source. A five hour outage last winter in Northern Maine was a lot of smoke, and almost a frozen crisis. This year we can take 9 to 18hrs off grid, no sweat. Hands down, one of the very best tools I have ever bought! ... show more

  • well built
I have only had the unit a few weeks but it has already kept the heat on several times due to power out . The unit is connected to a Harmen pellet stove and when the power goes out the transition between the power company and the unit turning on is flawless zero delay . pricey but we don't have to listen to the generator to stay warm any longer ... show more

  • Works great!
This product works as it is supposed too! Power went out for a hour the unit switched to battery back-up no issues. We use a surge protector to prevent any issues with the pellet stove.

  • This product will not work on our P-43-C Harmon Pellet Stove
Our stove is a pure sine wave stove, this is a new model Harmon Pellet Stove. This product is a modifies sine wave and only works on modified sine wave pellet stoves. Per the Harmon web site, the stove could be adjusted to work with this product by a certified Harmon installer but in searching a 300-mile radius of our home in Northern California (we included Northern Nevada in our search) we could not find any Harmon installer that knew how to do this. Before you purchase this product, please verify with SureFire and your pellet stove manufacturer that this product will work with your pellet stove. ... show more

  • Works well, but expensive
I use it for my pellet stove and luckily i haven't lost power yet but i do regularly test it my unplugging the power cord and it kicks on like it should. Its expensive but you really need one if you have a pellet stove. Without one if power goes off, the fire in your stove continues to burn whats in the pot but there is no power to the blower fan to pull the smoke outside so your home will fill with smoke. Keep in mind you will need to buy a deep cycle battery for 130 which will add to the cost. I advise going with a the largest battery that makes sense for you costwise. ... show more
