I am not able to shave my neck as closely as I would like with either a multi bladed razor, or any electric razor that gives super close shaves. I get bad razor burn, and end up with ingrown hairs. I decided to try this, because many people claim foil razors don't have that issue. I got this Supreme Trimmer Solo for my dad to use as his travel shaver. He typically doesn’t have a ton of facial hair so this trimmer works great for him and his short stubble. The trimmer is the perfect size to fit in a travel toiletry bag. It even comes with a nice little pouch to protect the trimmer when you’re not using it. The trimmer uses a usb c charging cable that is also included. The battery life is decent and there’s even an LED battery indicator on the side of the trimmer. Let's start with the essentials: This is a portable foil shaver specifically designed for touch-ups. Its purpose is simple: it comes to the rescue when you're dealing with that notorious 5 o'clock shadow at 5 PM, or when you spot those pesky missed spots from your morning shave while inspecting yourself in the office mirror. That's all it's meant for. It's crucial to note that it's not built to handle a full shave. If you expect it to do so, well, brace yourself for a world of frustration. So how good is it for touch ups? Not bad. I tried it on a 5 o'clock shadow to see how it went, and it STILl took a few passes to get everything trimmed, but it did get the job done without undue irritation. It's pretty trivial to use: There's only one control, an on/off slider on the side. There's no travel lock (kind of unfortunate for a shaver that's meant to be pocketable), but the slider is better than an easily pushed button if you do put it in your pocket. If you are gonna pocket this, I strongly recommend using the soft-sided sack that also comes in this kit to protect the shaver. To clean it, the foil pulls off the top of the shaver after you press the button on the side in a bit. There's also a matching cap for the top of the shaver to protect the head but it doesn't affix that securely, and it comes off in your pocket, so it's not very useful. The run time on a full charge (150 minutes) is far more than you'd need for any normal use case. Specifics of the foil shaver: ** Rechargable cordless mini-shaver (model STF101) ** 150 minutes run time ** USB charging cable (USB-C connection) Overall, this shaver is specifically designed for tackling light beard growth. I wouldn't recommend relying on it for your daily shaving needs or as your sole travel shaver. It simply lacks the power (or foil area) required for those tasks. But if you're in need of a compact foil shaver for quick touch-ups, this will do the trick. Plus, it's conveniently pocket-sized for easy portability--though a snap on lid that stays securely in place is surely missed. Pros: ** Cute and portable ** Good battery life ** Standard USB-C charging port ** Feels well made ** Comes with an AC power supply (unusual in these kits) Cons: ** Not that powerful ** No LCD readout of charge ** Snap on head protector falls off in the pocket ** No idea where/if you can buy replacement cutting heads or foils ... show more

This handy little shaver is great for throwing in your backpack when traveling or when you have a late afternoon appointment. While I usually use a razor and shave cream when I get out of my morning shower, this little shaver is great for when you want to look your best and that's not an option. A minute of lightly running this around your face takes care of the accumulated stubble in short order. The foil is thin enough that you can still get a close and comfortable shave without a razor. There is no edge trimmer but for most times that's not an issue. There is a battery level indicator light that lets you know when you should consider plugging in the USB charge cable to top off the battery although you can get quite a few shaves between charges. While I think that a razor may be a bit faster, when I've used this in the morning it only took a minute or two to get a consistent comfortable shave. ... show more
