    • Great product; rocker switch is a disaster

I bought this in February of 2021. Overall, I'm happy with the product. The pluses are that is seems quality made, and the kit came with all the parts I needed (see exception on rocket switch wiring harness below). I like the remote control, and the components seem pretty high quality. I can't say anything about the winch itself, as I haven't used it yet. I installed it on a 2019 Polaris RZR XP Turbo. The minuses: this thing is a bear to install. Conservatively, I spent six hours installing it. I'm no speed racer, but I've installed a lot of after-market stuff on my RZR, and I'm pretty familiar with it mechanically and electrically. It came with no instructions, so I used a video from SuperATV I found on Youtube (this video is 30 minutes long. The discrepancy with my time of 6 hours is because on the video, they skip over all the hard to do stuff like tightening bolts, installing connectors with shrink tubing, etc). The basic concept is you are mounting the adaptor plate and the winch in a very hard to reach place, doing most mounting operations by feel, in some cases without sight as to what you are doing (e.g., mounting the winch to the adaptor plate by inserting screws from below through the mounting plate, with no chance to see the holes in the bottom of the winch). Then you have to tighten the nuts/bolts with very little clearance in hard to reach places. I actually went and bought ratcheting box end wrenches; otherwise, I couldn't have done it. The rest of the installation isn't bad. You have to find a place to mount the solenoid box; I followed the YT video and mounted it underneath the plastic above the glovebox area. The kit provides shrink tubing, electrical connectors, etc. (which you will use because they give you way too much wire). The biggest minus: the kit I ordered, which is advertised for a 2019 Polaris RZR, came with the writing harness and in/out switch meant for a four wheeler (i.e., handlebar mount). In order to make it work for my RZR rocker panel, I had to dismantle the switch, take out a rocker panel empty plate and CUT IT TO SHAPE to fit the non-standard switch size, unsolder the wires, thread the wiring harness through the cut-out rocker plate, resolder the wires, then mount the small switch to the rocker panel plate and then in the RZR. It was a pain, and it was completely unnecessary, as SuperATV sells a wiring harness with a rocker panel switch intended for the RZR. This was very disappointing. I don't know if they sent the wrong kit, or if it's mislabeled in the Amazon system. Beware: if you buy this kit, make sure you get the wiring harness for the RZR, not the wiring harness meant to be mounted on the handlebars of a four-wheeler. I made it work, but it made me mad in the process :-) Because of the minuses above, I'm rating this four stars. If I'd had the correct wiring harness for a RZR, it would have been five stars. ... show more

Mount fit well. Reasonably easy to install. Didn’t have to remove wheel or shock to install. The hose to my heater kit is in the way of the winch itself but should be easy to reroute.

Great kit. Everything fits good. But the rocker switch that comes with the kit is nasty. Its for handlebar mounting and has a horrible Chinese cheap feel to it. Superatv offers a dash mounted rocker sold separately. This kit would be so much better if it was an option when ordering, instead of waiting another week to get it after you install the winch. Also, no instructions for mounting the winch. Took me a while to figure out where it goes. But, everything else is great. Love how they supplied solder terminals and shrink tube so you could size all of Chinese cables perfectly. Synthetic rope is real nice. Winch works great. ... show more

Works great , nice thick metal brackets , installing wasn't the easiest , if you have small hands it will be easier, and there wasn’t really instructions but it’s not that hard to figure out

Great mounting plate. Packaged very well. The plate is precision made, and fits very tightly. You have to really work to get it in place. But once in place everything lines up perfectly.. Instructions were very easy to follow as well.,
