This platform is my first as I just recently got my first saddle. Last season I tried to pinch pennies and hunt off the top rung of my sticks and it made my time in the tree dreadful. It was very uncomfortable and my knees were hurting at the end of each hunt. I have done a few sits using this platform and it helps take all of the stress of my feet and knees and allows me to sit for longer durations much more comfortably. 1st saddle hunting stand and I get where they make a big deal about weight even before adding camo wrap and cord around the outer edge it has some heft to it. But as my 1st saddle stand it works well. It’s solid and grabs the tree no wobble the strap is solid and holds it in place. After spiking 30ft into a pine it’s easy to climb on to and it’s surprisingly quiet even with my spikes on given I did have leather keepers on the spurs. Only beef is the weight. For the price point I’m good with it. I will say all my saddle climbing gear is my arborist gear so that adds to weight and bulk vs minimalist typical saddle hunting gear and equipment. Given I could sit all day in what I already had why spend more for less ha! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I think this will work perfectly for what I need it to do. Im 220lbs and this thing is solid does not move as you see in the video. I did though upgrade the strap for it and got one of the Lonewolf replacement straps just to play it safe and I also painted it the way it came was way too shiny for me ... show more

My first platform. Very sturdy with little play. Silver color will be replaced to help blend in woods. Strap is strong and easy to use. Wasn't a fan of the plastic button for securing Strap but they all seem to be that way. Overall it's a great way to save $150-200.

Product came with a metallic dust that gets on you. I’m not sure if it’s just it’s unfinished nature of cast metal or silver spray paint. Heavier than expected. The foot platform seemed to be a great size and quality component, but the main bar seemed like an inadequate component. The top of the bar seemed to be a composite plastic material painted to look like the same cast metal material of the foot platform. I believe this product would work. The bolts holding it together are of a thinner diameter than other stands are using. I returned product when comparing these things and ended up going with a different product because I didn’t feel totally comfortable with safety of this product. I did not test the safety of it, but some of the details that I mentioned left me insecure about it’s safety. I would consider buying it at a much lower price point for a ground level tree seat, but not at elevation. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I saw this platform pop up on Amazon, and thought I’d give it a try. It’s size and shape reminds me of the Trophyline Mission. It feels very solid on the tree, with plenty of foot room. it handled side pressure very well, but it did not handle pushing off the back very well. I knew going in that I was going to pay a weight penalty for getting a larger platform. Having said that I am glad I got a larger one. Very comfortable in the tree but not the most steady when leaning from the side in my saddle. I think it has to do with strap placement on the bar as the bar tends to cam pretty far away from the tree when the step is folded out. I think I am going to move the attachment point down an inch or so and see how that does. The platform itself is cast aluminum and feels very solid. ***UPDATE*** I moved the strap attachment 2" down the main bar by drilling a new hole and moving the original hardware. This allows the platform to get a very secure bite on the tree when it is folded out and prevents the bar from camming away from the tree. the platform is very solid now with no movement no matter which direction I lean or where I place pressure on the platform UPDATE 2- one of the strap loops tore out as I was setting the platform 20' in a tree... thank God I had already hooked in to my tether and it caught me without more than an inch of drop as the platform fell to the ground. ... show more

Package arrived almost completely destroyed, and the platform was kind of beat up, but nothing that affected the function. Somewhat difficult to get a rock solid attachment to the tree, but after some fiddling around and pulling the strap as hard as I can, I could get the platform to be pretty solid when it came down on the tree. This is my first platform, so hard to know what to expect. Aside from the above, seems to be ok? I may update after hunting this weekend after I spend more time with it. Updating to 4*'s after hunting on it a few times and a rattle can paint job, seems pretty solid. ... show more
