I purchased this a replacement insert for a grand fireplace. It fits perfectly. The only issue was the screw holes do not match to connect to back of it so I had to get brackets to secure the fireplace insert to the fireplace. Other than that this fireplace insert is beautiful and functions perfectly. Noise level is low just a faint hum. Love that it has a remote & temperature control for the heat. The media could not be loaded. Great fireplace. I love it, it looks real. No assembly needed. The only reason that I give 4 stars because it is loud when you turn the heater on. The heater is not that great. You may need another source of heating but this could be more effective on a warmer weather (I live in MN). ... show more

Bought this fireplace to replace the one in our RV. Once we determined it would fit the existing cutout, this unit was an exact fit. Very easy to install (30 min). Heats great. Remote is easy to use and learn. This fireplace has 9 different color schemes for the flames. I didn’t think that was stressed enough in the pictures provided in the Amazon item description. This fireplace is an exact replacement for the Dimplex BF8000ST model it replaced. The dimplex was available, but it was almost 3X the money we paid for this Sunnydaze unit. Very pleased. Heater was easy to install in our RV, and actually puts out great heat. Unfortunately, the thermostat DOES NOT work, and will not shut off at desired temperature. I was up and down all night turning it on and off, attempting to stay comfortable. If the thermostat worked, I would give this 5 stars easily. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We inherited my husband's grandma's wooden, electric fireplace when she passed. The Dimplex insert it came with no longer works and to replace it with that same brand was very pricey. We found this insert after researching our options for a while and Im really happy with it. It offers different colors and flame height. It puts off great heat! I would have rated it a 5 but as you can see in the pics, the one corner of the trim arrived bent which is consistent with the one corner of the box. Most likely damaged during transit. Kinda bummed but it doesn't affect the way it works and you can't see it too much from the front. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Installation was so easy. Takeout ofbix plug it up and you're all set. I only wish the remote had batteries. Bummer, but other than that it's great. I ordered it too small my fault but it will work.
