  • Clear PLA is also pretty much the best PLA
Color: 1000g Pla Transparent
**Update** I have a recent lightsaber project I'm putting together for my friend and tried out the silver PLA, and once again got pretty impressive results. Didn't need to do anything crazy, standard 200/60 temps and a PEI steel sheet to print on top of. The results came out really clean and I'm really pleased. Based on this I can vouch for the basic color blends as well as the clear.** If you're looking for a clear PLA that can print like glass, this one gives pretty good results. You will have to tweak your printer settings and use 100% infill in order to get there- consult youtube and websites like printables for more info. Some experimentation is probably necessary for this. What I really wanted to talk about is how good this specific blend of PLA is to print compared to most other PLAs I've ever tried. This material is not only strong (bending in the "weak direction" perpendicular to the layers this is only mildly less strong than certain tough PLA+ blends), but most importantly it prints with a consistency that outclasses most other PLAs I've tried. There are two prints specifically that highlight how good this material is for intricate or tough to print structures. A print in place MicroSD box (a popular design on thingiverse and printables), and a replica rollcage. You will notice on these websites that the PIP MicroSD box is extremely hard to print, with many people unable to get the arms to move because they've fused or are dimensionally inaccurate. I had this problem while trying my vast array of Flashforge, Inland, Creality and other filaments, but the one that did work on the first try with zero fuss and no fiddling on my ender 3 V2 was the Sunlu Clear. After printing with default no tweak printer settings, it just worked with the arms freely moving after I popped it off the bed. Similarly, I've had a heck of a time trying to print the rollcage design with other filaments, and even with Cura's revised tree supports they did not come out right. The vertical bars sometimes messed up and either failed completely or looked saggy or goopy. Frustrated after several hours of trying different settings and in particular wasted PLA, I took out the Sunlu Clear and it printed first try, and in fact it probably didn't need any supports at all except for the rear horizontal bars. Basically perfect out of the box. I never had to do anything crazy to print this material, just set the printer to 200 deg F and the bed to 60 deg bog standard settings and just let it go. I have to assume that this is likely because the clear contains less fillers than any colored blend. Regardless, if you are looking to print some complex and tough models, I would recommend giving this a try. ... show more

  • Easy to Print, Clear
Color: 1000g Pla White
Both were printed in vase mode. Layers bonded very well and walls were not brittle. That means it will wear better without breaking the first time you use it. As hopefully you can see in the photos is is a fairly clear filament. Works very well for my purposes. Has become very popular with people that request prints from me. I have used Sunlu Filament for years. I use what prints well and does not cause me headaches to setup design and the print. So I stgick with what I consider great products. Sunlu, ESun, and some creality. Always open to try new filament, but when it counts I use what I am familiar with and works well for the project. ... show more

  • A step above most other low cost filament
Color: 1000g Pla Black
Really good filament, very nicely wound, prints very consistently, stronger and more flexible then other PLAs that I have used. As a trade off for the greater strength this is a bit harder to use then some, it is so strong that supports are difficult to remove and it needs higher heat about 200 degrees on the extruder and 80 degrees on the bed. This is going to be my go-to filament, it is only slightly more expensive then the cheap generic filament I used to buy, but stronger and more consistent. ... show more

  • Clogs galore (Glow in the dark filament)
To preface: I have an Ender 3, I've tried the stock nozzle (with direct drive), the spider nozzle (with direct drive), and the Ender 3 Sprite Direct Drive Extruder (stock configuration, then with a DiamondBak nozzle, and finally with blower fan upgrade)-- I used nozzle temperature of 207C and bed temp of 60C. This glow-in-the-dark filament has managed to clog my machine in essentially every configuration, which may be my fault for not dealing with heat creep properly; however, with the blower fan upgrade on the Sprite extruder, heat creep was no longer an issue. Even with all my upgrades, disabling retraction, and a slow print speed the filament would get ground to the point where the gears could no longer properly grip the filament. This always occurred partway through the print, so leaving the printer alone was no longer an option with this filament. Maybe with proper fine-tuning, I can use the rest of this filament-- in my opinion, it's not worth the trouble. ... show more

  • Experiment with your temperature settings!!!
Color: 1kg Transparent Pla Blue
I forgot that I had a lot of issues with previous SUNLU branded filament regarding bed adhesion, but not as much as I had with this roll, and only because the suggested temperature on the roll is too low, at least for my Ender 3 V2. I ended up printing on the glass bed (with adhesive) at 225 degrees extruder / 60 degrees bed temp for the first layer, then 220/60 for the rest before it started printing correctly. 200-210 will force the filament to curl up off the bed and warp, but results may vary. As far as the finished print, once I got it dialed in, it was beautiful and perfectly translucent ... show more

  • Fine filament, color is a little lighter than pictured
Color: 1kg Pla Red
Filament works well, I've gone through most of the roll with no moisture or contamination issues. Adhesion and overhang are good. Only complaint is the color is a little lighter than pictured. Looks almost crimson in the picture but there are slight orange tones to it in real life.

  • My all time favorite filament brand
Color: 1kg Pla Grass Green
This stuff prints phenomenally on my modded ender 3 v2 Neo, very clean at 205c nozzle temp, nice flow, good layer/bed adhesion and no stringing. The colors are the same between reels so you can use more than one on a single project and know you won’t have a gross shading difference and it’s cheaper than my second favorite brand, making it excellent for use in cosplay pieces, this plastic is just the best pla, whatever way you slice it, cheap, fast, clean, easy, strong, I couldn’t recommend this filament higher it is in my opinion the number 1 best pla I’ve ever used. They make a ton of colors, their metallic silver and gold are also great reels, their white is very opaque and for lack of a better term bone like, and every reel ive ordered has been beautifully wound, I could type for hours about how much I love using this plastic but I can think of a single complaint, this pla is just that good on my machine. ... show more
