Lets do this first because I understand often exposure ssettings are all we're looking for: [SETTINGS] Printer: Mars 3 Layers: 50um Bottom Exp: 35s (Maybe go higher if your buildplate isn't textured) Normal Exp: 2s Lift Speeds: 60-80mm/min Light-Off Delay: 1s (Note, that you have to set it like to like 12s on the Mars 3 so it will add the delay, it's ridiculous.) Release Film: PFA/nFEP As always, adjust accordingly depending on your set-up. [WHAT'S IT LIKE?] This resin is comparable to almost every other standard resin I've used. I decided to try the Clear Blue to print a holographic bust of Asajj Ventress, about the size of a soda can (120mm). -This isn't "low odor", it has a punch. -Low viscosity, prints easily. -Light blue if printing a hollow object with thin walls. Thicker, more solid prints are darker. -I like the compact bottle. -No need for odd adjustments to avoid pooling at the supports, like you may have to do with other clear resins. -Resin is as weak as any other standard resin, be extra careful removing supports from thin prints. [FINISHING IT] Being a clear resin, you may immediately notice some of the pitfalls that come from printing clear items. If the software creates artifacts when hollowing, they will be visible. Any supports and and scars caused while removing them will be visible, this is particularly annoying for inner supports. Bubbles, any trapped gunk, etc. will all be visible. After cleaning in alcohol, the resin will gain a frosted effect. Cure the print and do any wet sanding you need to, then coat it in some kind of clear sealer, this will bring back the transparency. (Remember to swish the sealer around the inside too, if the model is hollow.) I suggest you use a spray sealer, but I used brush-on satin sealer and it worked well. Don't worry too much about being heavy handed, that helps fill in imperfections. The sealer also helps block more UV light, so the print won't quickly become brittle over time. ... show more

    • Usable resin, seperates after a couple days as instructions say

I purchased the beige resin. I'm a little dissapointed that the default picture on the store is indeed beige, but the actual color of the resin is a peachy "skin tone". The resin itself is thin, which is nice so that it flows well in the vat. It does require a bit more exposure time that my sirayatech resin does (somewhere around 3.5 seconds on an anycubic M3 max). That said, I had no failures out of the bottle using the default Lychee slicer layouts and supports. Lychee is nice because you can enter your machine and resin and there's a good chance it can provide a profile that will get you started. As for the actual prints, they came out crisp and clean. Though I will say the surface texture is noticibly chalky compared to more premium resins. The resin is extremely brittle. Which is typical, but not at all abs-like. The instructions warn not to leave the resin out, and if it would sit more than a couple days, to return it to the bottle. I can confirm that it starts to separate out this quickly, and when it does so, it separates like spoiled milk, with the resin looking splotchy and curtled. Not a big deal, you just have to shake it back up and its good to go. But again, more premium resins can last for a week in my vat with minimal separation. And when they do separate, usually the color falls to the bottom evenly. Overall, I'll probably purchase more of Sunlu's resin in the future. This performance was acceptable for the parts I generally produce as they need to be painted anyway. And hey, it's half the price of higher quality variants. Just make sure you shake vigorously and return leftover resin to the bottle if you're not going to use it. ... show more

I forgot that I had to adjust resin exposure in the slicer completely, but the mono 2's default settings and test prints were perfect for this resin. I don't what sort of headaches people normally deal with when printing but none of mine have been related to print quality at all.

I can't say for certain that this is the best resin I have ever used, because I bought this for the first time to use in my new purchase Creality Halot Lite, so different machine, different resin. I can say that the two have performed remarkably well together. After using 1000ml of Sunlu I had exactly one print fail, and it was solely because I tried to go way to light on supports. I have been amazed at the success rate and the ease of release from the plate after. being an average family man, who likes a roof over their head & to eat regular, I try to get whatever is cheapest at the time. This has come back to bite me many times, but I can say this is a low cost resin that performs better in my opinion that some of the $30+ resins I have tried! ... show more

It works great with my Photon Mono X2. The resin does smell quite a bit, like almost any resin does. It was the best value resin I could find, but there's nothing cheap about the results.

This resin isn’t the best, but for the price, it’s excellent. While the cured models are a bit brittle, they remain sticky even after. After much trial and error, the way around this was to wash it in alcohol and leave it in the sun for 2-4 hours hours. Adding 10% Siraya Tech Tenacious resin added drastic durability. My Elegoo Mars 3 Pro had no trouble churning out models quickly with this resin. The clear nature allows for faster initial curing and speedy prints. As a budget option, truly excellent. As long as it remains cheap, this is my go to resin. If I was doing something requiring more durability, I’d look to one of the more expensive, more trusted brands. ... show more
