This is honestly the prettiest color I have ever purchased in filament! It is exactly like the photos but so much more luxurious in person if that makes sense. It has such a nice matte finish and the color is so rich and well perfect! Oh and so far it prints really well, I use the Ender series printers and I have no trouble with this filament. Both the black and grey matte colors print very easily on my A1, however, the grey filament is wrapped very poorly on the spool, requiring constant untangling.

got the olive green. if you're looking for that "army green" this is it. comes sealed in a vacuum bag and had zero issues printing right away. didnt have to let it sit in a dryer first. aside for projects i actually bought this for i used the left overs to print some custom conveyor belt links for my "shop conveyor" i use for prototyping and testing. all the links that have been printed from very low spools have held up sliding across PVC rails and over a couple rotating idlers. conveyor links for testing is how i use up almost empty filament spools. no adhesion problems with textured, smooth and glass build plates. next to zero stringing. ... show more

    • Temp Tower should be your first print - I had minimal clogs, no tangles, great print.
Before I use any new filament, I run a Temperature Tower test print - which is what I did with this filament. With my test print, I found that 195 degrees seemed to be the best temperature for this filament on my printer (and I always bump the first layer up by 5 to get good squish and adhesion). Printed on a .4 nozzle was great prints all around. I had one clog after 20+ prints, and then I changed out the nozzle. I also printed on a .6 and had some zits and other issues with the printing, but I'm not sure if it was due to the filament or just what I was doing. I did have more clogging after switching to that nozzle, so make sure you've adjusted your settings accordingly. For these reasons, I took off a star for print quality. I do not use a filament dryer but have a dedicated sealed container with desiccant for my filament, and I print in a very dry environment. I found this filament to be matte white, with no/minimal odor, and was really pleased with how it performed. The filament itself wasn't tangled on the spool and printed well. I was also able to paint my prints with acrylic paints and no issues (which is often helpful to know when you're working with white filament).     • Prints great. New spools look nice, NOT AMS friendly
I've never had any issue with Sunlu filament and generally have always had a good experience printing with them. Print wise- nothing has change. Ease of use, however is a different story. The new blue spools look very nice and appear of better quality- thicker plastic and more enclosed to help with clean windings. The issue is they appear to be shorter width and diameter by a small margin- but its enough that it now causes issues with the AMS system for the BambuLab P1S, X1C model printers. The smaller spools are now not as large and do not sit as nice a gap on the AMS rollers; this results in rubbing against the bottom of each filament slot in the AMS unit. Which leads to the AMS overworking the motors as there's more friction and drag on the system. This caused issues multiple times while feeding and unloading. I ended up respooling to an empty BBL spool - no issues after. It also happened again with some Sunlu Glow in the Dark PLA on again- new spool - same issue. Respooled on a printed empty spool. No issues after. A benefit of Sunlu filament over say Esun or similar other vendors was that stock PLA profiles worked very well and Spools were AMS friendly out of box. Others had cardboard spools or spool sizes that caused issues. The price was also nice. But if you print alot or have a print farm- respooling can start to add up lots of time. I'd be ok paying more for an AMS ready spool. Again- the filament prints fine, but the product ease of use overall is less user friendly now. ... show more
