Disclosure: Though not sponsored, I am an Amazon Vine member. Though uncommon, In 3D printing there are times when only clear filament will suffice. I've tried other clear PLA and this is the first I've used that prints well, is fairly translucent and so far, appears to be dimensionally stable. The filament comes vacuum packed and nicely boxed. A nice touch, the filament comes in a resealable bag. Though I only use resealable vacuum bags for storing filament, the resealable bag may be a benefit for others. The filament is neatly wound on the spool. I use 3D printed containers of desiccant (as seen in the photo) in the center of the spools when storing filament. The clear filament makes it easy to see any color change in the indicating (color changing) desiccant. Even when printed with a low infill of 20%, it's easy to see the desiccant color even through the infill patterns within. It's unlikely you will achieve the appearance of glass in printed pieces regardless of infill. At lower infill, the patterns within will be visible, at higher infill there's material enough that the best you will likely achieve is translucent, not perfectly clear. I have yet to try to print in vase mode but expect that would achieve the clearest result. ... show more

**Update** I have a recent lightsaber project I'm putting together for my friend and tried out the silver PLA, and once again got pretty impressive results. Didn't need to do anything crazy, standard 200/60 temps and a PEI steel sheet to print on top of. The results came out really clean and I'm really pleased. Based on this I can vouch for the basic color blends as well as the clear.** If you're looking for a clear PLA that can print like glass, this one gives pretty good results. You will have to tweak your printer settings and use 100% infill in order to get there- consult youtube and websites like printables for more info. Some experimentation is probably necessary for this. What I really wanted to talk about is how good this specific blend of PLA is to print compared to most other PLAs I've ever tried. This material is not only strong (bending in the "weak direction" perpendicular to the layers this is only mildly less strong than certain tough PLA+ blends), but most importantly it prints with a consistency that outclasses most other PLAs I've tried. There are two prints specifically that highlight how good this material is for intricate or tough to print structures. A print in place MicroSD box (a popular design on thingiverse and printables), and a replica rollcage. You will notice on these websites that the PIP MicroSD box is extremely hard to print, with many people unable to get the arms to move because they've fused or are dimensionally inaccurate. I had this problem while trying my vast array of Flashforge, Inland, Creality and other filaments, but the one that did work on the first try with zero fuss and no fiddling on my ender 3 V2 was the Sunlu Clear. After printing with default no tweak printer settings, it just worked with the arms freely moving after I popped it off the bed. Similarly, I've had a heck of a time trying to print the rollcage design with other filaments, and even with Cura's revised tree supports they did not come out right. The vertical bars sometimes messed up and either failed completely or looked saggy or goopy. Frustrated after several hours of trying different settings and in particular wasted PLA, I took out the Sunlu Clear and it printed first try, and in fact it probably didn't need any supports at all except for the rear horizontal bars. Basically perfect out of the box. I never had to do anything crazy to print this material, just set the printer to 200 deg F and the bed to 60 deg bog standard settings and just let it go. I have to assume that this is likely because the clear contains less fillers than any colored blend. Regardless, if you are looking to print some complex and tough models, I would recommend giving this a try. ... show more

Purchased to print part of a vent riser, and they turned out well. Held securely to a smooth POE plate (no glue or additive) when printed with a brim. The spool feels sturdy, and looks a lot like a Bambu spool, just different color.

First off I would like to say I was approached to test this filament to do this review. I was not paid for it or sent the filament for free, I had to purchase the filament to do the review. I purchased and printed everything in grey as you can see in the pictures. The white prints are with a different filament that I printed the same day with the same settings except where noted. That being said. I tested this out after printing a few pieces with my other filament which I wont name but it's highly popular and works very well on my printer. Print Quality: no question that this prints as well as my normal filament if not occasionally better depending on the print I was doing. The brim that is printed shockingly is very sturdy yet very easy to remove, unlike my normal filament. Sometimes my normal filament sticks too well. The detail I received with this, if you can notice in the pictures attached are just as good if not better than the counterparts. The finer details seem to pop a bit more. Not sure if it's a darker filament so I notice more but the inside fine details seemed to register better. Adhesion: this was the tricky part. Any 3d printer will tell you that bad adhesion is the death of a print. I did have to adjust my bed level a few times to get the adhesion correct. Otherwise it just wouldn't print. This filament has no forgiveness when it comes to bed leveling. If your bed isn't 100% perfectly leveled than this filament has a hard time sticking to the bed. I did have to increase my bed temp a few degrees as I noticed a cooler bed kept letting the filament pop off mid print. Otherwise, once that was figured out it printed perfectly. Value: the cost is a bit more than the filament I buy but it is on average with everything else out there. Now it is PLA+ so it's going to be a few dollars higher than normal filament but is it worth it? So far I would say yes. I wish I could have grabbed a few different colors to test them all, as I prefer to print with white, but the grey works just as well. Now I did notice a few things. I have never had a layer shift in any of my prints but using this I did have a few odd shifts that didn't happen in the white test prints. All the same settings and the same minis we're printed so I'm not sure how to explain it. Again, I noticed that if your bed is not perfectly level you will have issues with this. My other filament can usually fix itself within the first layer or two if the bed isn't perfect. This filament is unforgiving. All in all, I liked this filament. I know sometimes you can get good and bad rolls and this may be a very good one but I'm assuming that this is the quality that you will receive with this filament. Would I purchase this again? I would and probably will in the future once my stock gets a little lower. I would also recommend it to others and my friends who also print. This is a good filament hands down. ... show more
