assembly is not complicated, but if you do parts in wrong order, it's very hard to undo, because parts snap together almost permanently. Follow the instructions! only reason it's not five stars is that the plastic only looks marginally better than any practical trash can. Slightly more refined, but still just plastic. We absolutely love this trash bin. We purchased it for our pool deck and it looks very nice! It was easy to assemble and took less than five minutes - but make sure you read the instructions for proper assembly. We love it so much that we purchased a second one (in white) for inside our house.

Lock is easy to open, but does keep lid closed even in the wind. Large capacity, will hold a lot of trash. Easy open top so you can pull the bag out of the container. Amazon price was the best, same exact one stores wanted as much as 78.00 dollars.
