I use compostable bags. I tie it around the opening of the bin and under the metal handle; the metal handle is accessible for easy removal. The bins fit perfectly and the trash can closes fine with the bags on. The bags are thin so they don’t bulge when tied. They stay put until we pull them out. The bins are on the smaller side, but I like it because it minimizes indoor waste and smells. The trash can is easy to use; step-on pedal. Each bin has a handle for easy transport.     • Small but durable
When you see 16 gal. you think that is big. It's not. It's very short and small. Great for 1-2 people homes. They are very durable and the lids are nicely tapered so they can not flip open easily. The step is firm. If you have naughty animals that likes to get into the trash, they can't with this.

    • Working Perfectly to Keep Our Recycling Better Organized
Looks and operates just like shown. Would be helpful to have labels to indicate which compartment is used for which recyclable, but otherwise, the product looks great and is well priced when considering that it makes that corner of our kitchen look nicer.

Wish it was larger but it does a good job. Decent sized. Easy to use and clean. Came pre-assembled thankfully. Like the handles and sturdiness of it all.

I am a diligent recycler and I was using a mixture of old trash cans and bags to gather the recycling in my kitchen. It wasn't a pretty sight and I wanted a way to clean up the look of my recycling stash. This trash can definitely has a great look and I was instantly happy with how much better the area presented. The construction is pretty good too. The lids respond pretty well to the pedals, although they are a little on the thin/wobbly side. the inner containers slide in and out well. The handles on them are inelegant and uncomfortable on your hand, but they get the job done. Overall though, I will say that three containers is a bit too ambitious. They don't have much space and I find that I have to empty them very often if I want the lids to be closed. I know the dimensions are given, but you don't really get a sense of just how small that is. Luckily I only use this for recycling, but if I were to also use it for trash I would have to empty it daily, and being such small containers there are many things that I would have a hard time fitting in. ... show more

Nice - I mean it’s a garbage can but the durability is excellent except it does have feet so it doesn’t move but we love it - money well spent so far.
