I bought one of these a long time ago for my truck and now I have this one for my car. This is a much better security device since it locks the brake pedal and the steering wheel together. Just make sure that you have the tilt steering wheels all the way down before attaching this locking device so there's no play between the brake pedal and steering wheel. There's a notch in the keys that you line up with a red dot on the lock so you know the key is in the correct position to enter the lock and unlock it. Once you lock it and remove the key if there's any play between the brake pedal and steering wheel, you can just push the locking device together with a ratcheting like effect without having to insert the key. It will only get shorter but not longer once it is locked with the key removed. Very effective if you turn the steering wheel 90 degrees so the front wheels are turned and the steering wheel is locked AND this device is installed. This prevents the vehicle from being towed or stolen with a tow truck because the front wheels are turned sharply especially effective with a rear wheel drive vehicle.
