I haven't had a chance to put it through a serious session yet (we recently moved into our house and we have some unpacking to do before the garage is ready to lift in), but the specs on the bar are impressive. Rated to 1,650 pounds and with a tensile strength of 160,000 PSI, this is a cut above what you'll typically find in a store, for about the same or only a little more money. The knurling, while not overly deep, grips my palms pretty hard. I don't anticipate this slipping out of my hands during a heavy deadlift. The sleeves spin very nicely. Is it a Texas Power Bar? No, but it's also $200 cheaper, and unless you're going to be lifting in excess of 800 pounds, it should suit you just fine.. I'm looking forward to doing a lot of heavy lifting with this thing for a long time. Update 8/28/16 Like a couple of others noted, the packing was garbage. I feel like mine really dodged a bullet with the sleeves half exposed. That being said, it's held up and performed very nicely after about a month of lifts. It hasn't held anything unusually heavy yet, but there was little to bend when I loaded it to 300, I expect it should do fine at 400 and 500 as well. ... show more

Very durable and solid bar and fit perfect on my squat rack. Other one I went cheap on didn’t fit across and wasn’t comfortable to grip. This one doesn’t hurt your hands while using it. Quality bar!

It's rare that an opportunity arises for one such layman as myself to write reviews, but since I spent a meaningful amount of money on this product (~$300 including shipping costs) I figure it deserves an honest solid review. To get the bad things out of the way first, UPS where I live at least, absolutely SUCKED. I saw it got to my town on Friday last week, and I kept checking daily from that point to see "Arriving today by 8pm" ... for six days! Additionally, I was told that were it to be delayed and not arrive by the 22nd, I would receive a refund on the cost... Amazon offered me a meager $5.90 credit on my next purchase. Highly disappointed, and I will be sure to make many more complaints to UPS and Amazon directly as necessary. When I picked up the product at the UPS store (which cost me an additional 8 dollars), the problem was diagnosed by the associate as "Probably having been left on a shelf somewhere and forgotten." Really? Is that really how UPS and Amazon treats its customers? Is that what you can get away with as the largest online marketplace on the face of the Earth? If that's the mentality I'm expected to do business with, I suppose I'll be happy then to take said business & money elsewhere. On the other hand, the product itself? Extraordinary quality, and specifically I am a huge fan of the style I was able to purchase it in. The steel, in accordance with the brand name, was very good quality. Just about the best I was able to purchase short of a Texas monster Powerbar (which is of course $300 more, and next on my bucket list for the squat rack). I greatly admire the caliber of metalwork that went into this product, and it's an absolute blast to get a great pump in with. Not to mention it's fun to show off as exclusive to my own home gym! Having spent a pretty substantial period of time considering the best bar I should purchase for my bench press / squat rack, I can confidently say at least for now that this is the least regrettable of the competition available here on Amazon. The knurling feels great on my hands, even when they get a bit sweaty, and the weight is definitely there as expected for a 20kg. I will, however, update this report on the order should anything change after a large amount of time has been spent in use! If it weren't for such a terrible experience with the shipment, I'd be more inclined to raise this review to a full five stars, but we will see if this can be rectified down the road with something more than a consolatory (and frankly, insulting) meager $5.90 credit. ... show more

Arrived four days early in excellent condition. Very well packaged in thick tubular cardboard, capped and taped on the ends. Bar itself is pristine with no visible flaws. Weight comes in at 44 pounds but I will still double check this and update accordingly. Very pleased thus far and would certainly recommend. 👍🏼 ... show more

WARNING! This bar is made with poor quality. I had purchased this bar originally during the prime day sale. Upon delivery the package was very beaten and tattered. Then when taking the bar out of the packaging it was severely damaged. The sleeve and cuffling on one end of the bar was very loose. From here I returned the bar for a replaced. A few days later the second bar had the same issues, yet I stuck with it. Sadly when I first used the bar the sleeve slid out and the bearing become exposed. Don't waist your money. If anything save $185 and just buy a rogue beater bar, at that's made in America. ... show more
