I purchased this for my wife as she pressed some of our grandchildren's school clothes, I thought it was a real nice gift, but she felt that it was too small of an area for pressing, a small third graders blouse, it shouldn’t take four or five moves to finish pressing a blouse it was too much work. By the area being so small it will cause you to do more work than if you had a regular Iron and Ironing board. I never could get the steamer to work it was kind of surprising to me everything that we press was set at cotton material, and I never could get the steam to work, the container that they give for putting the water into the water chamber holds more water than the water chamber itself I found that out the hard way. The concept of having a presser is great but not if it causes you to work harder, it should have caused us to work simply and fast, we did not achieve that goal so we return the item we may look for a bigger one but that is to be determent. ... show more

I am using this for paper piecing of quilts and is perfect. I take freezer paper draw my templates on the paper and then very efficiently iron the paper onto my fabric.

I am so happy I purchased this. I need to put in fusible interfacing in ties that I make. With my standard iron I would have to move the iron about 7 or 8 times to get the interfacing fused in all places. With this I only have to move the tie three times. This has cut the time drastically for me and I noticed that the "glue" in the interfacing is more secure compared to my regular iron. My son uses it too to straighten his ties after wearing them. ... show more

I am a quilter I have had one for a couple years. Used it almost daily. The one I received today has issues, cord is shorter. This iron gets very hot you can’t just put it down anywhere you need the longer cord. No longer 22 inches in length now 18 inches in length. When pressing strips or blocks the loss of 4 inches count. But the big change, they curved the left side back and it makes it smaller in length and width. It gets hot, steam works but loss of use of area is a problem for me. ... show more
