I'm really liking this park style charcoal grill. It will make a great replacement for the one we already have by an RV spot and near a stream at the lower corner of our property. Originally installed about 16 years ago, it's seen better days and is due for "retirement". The quality of the metal and fabrication on this grill are excellent. I really like that the cooking grate sits square on all 4 corners. I can't stand a cooking grate that teeter-totters on uneven posts. All components seem to be of good gauge steel and put together with good deep welds... with the possible exception of one area: the center rod on the grate has very light welds and I'm hoping they'll hold up with the constant heat/cool cycles. I may break out the welder and strengthen those up a bit. I also really like that it comes with all three mounting options: brackets for mounting to a vertical structure, a base for mounting to a platform or other solid floor surface and a tube for setting in cement. Lastly, It's a plus that the grate can be removed for proper cleaning instead of being set into the firebox permanently. Yes it could get swiped but that's a tradeoff I'm willing to take especially since this will be mounted on private property. Overall - I'm very happy with this product. ... show more

I decided to mount this using the bolted base plate that's provided using j-bolts into concrete. You have double check to make sure the plate is turned at the right angle (with the pole fully tightened) so that the grill will be facing the the desired direction when it's finally bolted down. The nice thing about the upper grill is that it's removable from the mounting pole. There's a set pin that slides through the grill and the pole to keep it from turning. You can take the grill inside for storage and then put a cup or plastic bag over the pole to keep water out. The grill is just like the ones you see at public parks. One addition this one has is the ash catch box on the front. The box is not that large, but it will hold enough ashes if emptied out after each use. I like the level of adjustment on the grill grates, which could be all the way down on just above a layer of coals; perfect for searing steaks after doing some indirect cooking with wood chips. ... show more

our outdoor patio was needing a grill and I am a charcoal enthusiast. This park style charcoal grill is perfect for our needs. Assembly is easy and we had it installed in the patio in about an hour. It is made very well and I am expecting it to last us for years.
