Very pleased with this purchase! It's a bit to put together. Not sure I would want to do it alone, but it works great and feels more expensive than it is. It's easy to change the tension and the display works great. It is heavy to move around. The pedals and the display make it a little tricky while moving it, but we put small furniture sliders on the end "legs" it stands on and that's helped tremendously. Before I purchased, I did a lot of research and chose this one based on reviews and price. Also chose it because of the "oars" as opposed to the pulley type. I liked the idea of the range of motion the oars would give my arms and back. I've been using it regularly for about a month and it has not disappointed. It feels great and works my arms and back just as I hoped! I had read someone's review that suggested watching videos on the proper form. I followed their advice and glad I did so I second that suggestion! If it helps anyone to know, I'm 57, 5'2.5" with a 28" inseam. ... show more

The counter was not working out the box. I found this out after assembly. I first thought the distance was to far away so I shimmed it with a old credit card piece. After looking under the rail that the seat is attach too I seen the magnet is offset. Simply put move the magnet to the right of the cut out under the seat. Now the workout experience 3 out of 5. The resistance is pretty low even at 12. Also the range of resistance only kicks in 3 quarters of the way so there is a lot of wasted movement. Still a great full body light workout. Storage and weight is 4.5 out of five. I wish the head rest would fold down as well. App is a trash ad grad just dont download it. 1 out of 5. I didn't reach out to support because the unit was assembled 2017 according to the label beneath. If they didn't adjust the magnet before they probably didn't know about the problem. I brought this with my own money full price. So for a start row machine I plan to use it for 6 months or so then upgrade. ... show more

I was looking for an inexpensive rowing machine and considered several models however most reviewers are not quite satisfied about quality and durability when it comes to home rowing machines. Only pro equipment seemed to have positive reviews but they are simply too big, heavy, and costly. Then I turned my attention to machines with less "standard" designs and found the stamina bodytrac glider models had impressive reviews while still in a budget. Conveniently they are small, lightweight, and foldable so I was convinced. Having the best comments around here I purchased the 1052. The item was very well packaged and had no real trouble to assemble. Despite there is an assembly video available I preferred to do it by looking at the manual only (included in the package). With the help of an additional person I could have saved some time. I've been using this rower for 2 months, 5-6 times a week for 15 mins sessions. Love that oversized cushioned seat. This machine is not for athletes but you can still make short good workouts. I say "short" because of that known issue about the shock getting hot so after some point the resistance plummets. However with 90 mins of weekly rowing I am happy: not a sportsman here!. Also, I'm still a bit far from reaching level 12 (the highest resistence level offered). The machine works perfectly except for the monitor which is a crap. Most reviewers mention that. In fact my monitor was crashing in funny ways often! (see the image) so I removed the batteries and put a phone or a watch to measure time for my workouts. I wonder why stamina does not use better monitors, however I still think this machine is worth every cent. It is well-built, feels durable, silent, and total space saver. If they could figure out how to avoid the shock getting hot that quickly and put a decent monitor on it, this would be the best seller of rowers all time :) Adivce: to prevent screeching noises appear, clean the siderail slots off dust. Keep the wheels of the seat clean as well. PS: The 1052 offers access to 3 free workout videos. I had to reach customer support for that. They were responsive and helped me get access to those videos. ... show more

It may help your arms, but won't do a thing for your legs. It has no resistance at all that you can adjust for your legs. Besides, the computer it's a joke.

I purchased this when the gyms closed and it is a great little machine. I think it’s a fair price for the quality. After using it 3-4 times most weeks since April, the seat has cracked a little and some screws have repeatedly come off. Notably, it was missing essential hardware on arrival which I replaced. Assembly was fairly easy in spite of missing pieces. Runs quietly but sometimes starts catching and grinding requiring a brief pause. It is lightweight, compact, offers enough resistance and I’m just now getting to level 10-11 of 12. I started at 8. It has been really nice on my low back and left knee which was injured and is still sensitive. I enjoy the double handles because I can vary the way I row to target different muscle groups. Foot plates are fine but I wear a size 9-9.5 and some feet might be too small to be held in securely still in place but I think it would still be possible to use the machine. Feet might move around a lot. Might post photo later, but the fit is right for me, female 5’8” with shorter legs, longer torso and very long arms. There’s easily 5-6” of room up spare at fullest leg extension for me so depending on your proportions, you could be pretty tall and still use it although you’d lose some range with the arms (because the “oars” are only so long). Separate oars give the opportunity for cross body rowing as well. The hydraulic gets hot but that’s a given. Overall, good product for the price. If you need to stay under $200-300 this is a good choice. Just screw the screws tight!! This machine has helped me stay fit during all the shutdowns. ... show more
