Great hose; lightweight and very easy to roll up on a garden-hose roller cart, as it is thinner and lighter than other hoses, and the metal housing of the hose makes it roll very smoothly. And it is professional looking. Just don't touch metal housing during lightning storm, as water lines are grounded, so you will feel a small electric shock. Flow is comparable to other hoses. A great advantage is that it does not kink when pulled as the metal design keeps it from folding. As another reviewer noted, the rubber grip at hose ends can be screwed off, so once, it happened that when trying to unscrew an attachment from the hose, it just unscrewed the grip. A solution, I found, is to first tighten the grip strongly, then you can use it to unscrew the sprinkler/sprayer. (But in worst case, could use pliers, as it has an area for it to grip.). The water gets quite a strong smell - I don't know if it is plain rubber or chemicals, but its stays on your hand for several hours after using - even after washing with soap and water. Not so pleasant. And this is even after using the hose for several weeks. (The AI answer to Q&A says: Based on the product description provided, this stainless steel garden hose is made without any harsh chemicals. The hose is constructed from 304 stainless steel and has a PVC inner tube. There is no indication of any chemical additives or coatings used. So maybe it's just rubber. Don't know.) About being weatherproof, it is nice to know that the specs say: The stainless-steel hose is designed to remain flexible in all weather conditions, including sub-freezing temperatures. We've tried those extending hoses that are great while they last, however, every one failed within 2 years. That includes the "heavy duty, long life" version I purchased. My wife liked those for watering her plants as they were nice and lightweight. Having given up on the extending hoses as an option I came across this option and gave it a try. Great hose! Doesn't kink, is lightweight and fingers crossed it has longevity. I'll update later should the hose fail. ... show more

I love this garden hose. I was very skeptical that a steel hose could be light and easy to maneuver, but it is! I have joint pain issues and I cannot lift a heavy hose when watering my flower beds. I bought the 100 foot size. We have 1 acre of property and I have multiple flower beds that I water every day in the summer. I love that I don't have to stop and unkink a hose anymore. This hose does not kink, or get hung up at all. It's smooth when I walk across the grass and it's easy to work with. We have a well and hard water. Time will tell if it will hold up to our hard water, but so far, it's great! I ordered a second one for our front yard. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

    • Nice, seems to be a bit more restrictive than a regular hose but the dog won't chew it up.
I like it. It's very flexible and cool looking. My young Labrador does not seem to like playing tug-o-war with the faucet with it anymore so hopefully it'll last. Just don't drive over it as the spiral-wound metal sheath is not strong enough to resist the tire and will crush flat. Then you get to buy a new hose. It does seem to flow slightly less water than a regular 5/8" garden hose so it'll take a bit longer to water the yard. ... show more

I was skeptical at first thinking they would kink or destroy some of our flowers as I used it in our yard but it is easy to control, not too heavy and has lasted much longer than any of the other many hoses we have used. Bought this hose in April, by July it was leaking from the joint between the the hose and hose end fitting. the leak got progressively worse and by September, the hose was useless. The SS hose is attached to the brass male hose fitting by crimping. The crimping failed as the hose got used. Disappointed ... show more

    • Perfect hose so far
Used my old metal hose for years and time to replace it due to leaks. Not sure if they’re actually all the same with a different label slapped on to them but went with this “brand” because it was a bit cheaper. Love this type of hose because it never kinks and rolls back up on the wheel quick and easy. Also survived many freezing winters outside. Been using this new one daily for a few weeks and no regrets so far. I don’t know if THIS one will end up being the best hose EVER, but I do know it’s the best TYPE of hose ever! Just a tip: I attach a nozzle to the hose but make a point of not shutting off the water there so as to avoid putting water pressure on hose and faucet where leaks could potentially form.
