Great hose; lightweight and very easy to roll up on a garden-hose roller cart, as it is thinner and lighter than other hoses, and the metal housing of the hose makes it roll very smoothly. And it is professional looking. Just don't touch metal housing during lightning storm, as water lines are grounded, so you will feel a small electric shock. Flow is comparable to other hoses. A great advantage is that it does not kink when pulled as the metal design keeps it from folding. As another reviewer noted, the rubber grip at hose ends can be screwed off, so once, it happened that when trying to unscrew an attachment from the hose, it just unscrewed the grip. A solution, I found, is to first tighten the grip strongly, then you can use it to unscrew the sprinkler/sprayer. (But in worst case, could use pliers, as it has an area for it to grip.). The water gets quite a strong smell - I don't know if it is plain rubber or chemicals, but its stays on your hand for several hours after using - even after washing with soap and water. Not so pleasant. And this is even after using the hose for several weeks. (The AI answer to Q&A says: Based on the product description provided, this stainless steel garden hose is made without any harsh chemicals. The hose is constructed from 304 stainless steel and has a PVC inner tube. There is no indication of any chemical additives or coatings used. So maybe it's just rubber. Don't know.) About being weatherproof, it is nice to know that the specs say: The stainless-steel hose is designed to remain flexible in all weather conditions, including sub-freezing temperatures. It is heavier than I imagined, but my primary objective was to be leak proof, damage resistant, and water tight. To that end, the threaded hose couplers are a bit on the short side, which could be an issue if the mating connector is flimsy (plastic or thin metal) as it bottoms out after just a couple turns. I had no problems with brass to brass connections. This 8' extension hose allows me to insert an in-line manual valve before the typical expanding hose to avoid climbing behind the shrubs to turn the spigot on/off. I had previously used a wireless remote valve at the spigot, but these are all-plastic and eventually fail at the connector. ... show more

I was skeptical at first thinking they would kink or destroy some of our flowers as I used it in our yard but it is easy to control, not too heavy and has lasted much longer than any of the other many hoses we have used. Hose failed after 3 months of use. Started leaking in a section in the middle of the hose. Purchased November 2024 Warm weather here in Honolulu so not from the freeze No information for warranty

I can’t vouch for durability due to just purchasing it this year, but I’m very happy with the ease of handling it for various jobs and relocations. It’s lightweight and doesn’t kink. Can’t get a hose much easier to use than this one. Happy with purchase.
