  • Impressive windmill fan
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
Excuse the 2 tone ceiling, in the process of painting. This fan does indeed make a statement. Purchased the optional light kit because we had nothing overhead in the room. We considered other windmill fans before we found this one much cheaper than those $3000 ones. Installation is straightforward, fan is large and heavy so a solid mount box is a must. I cut 4" off the down rod so that the fan hugs the ceiling more. Fan cannot be flush mounted to the ceiling in case anyone is curious because the filter and interface module fits inside the mounting bracket. Fan kit comes with everything needed and instructions are clear. The optional light kit comes with 2 60w bulbs and give off good lighting. It took me about 3 hours start to finish. Fan gives off plenty of air even at low rpm's. Motor is absolutely silent. No balance or vibration. Remote control easy to use, controls fan speed, direction , on/off and lights ( if applicable). The only thing I'd improve is making the safety anchor cable longer making for an easier attachment to a joist. If you're in the market for a windmill type fan, definitely take a look at this one. ... show more

  • Really nice fan
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
This is a really nice fan and the optional light made a great all-in-one for our vaulted ceiling. We wanted it to hang a bit lower so got a longer beam. Its good on setting 1 or 2 out of 6 but anything faster and it wobbles pretty badly. Like any fan, getting it perfectly balanced is black magic. This is amplified with a longer beam and a larger fan. It comes with those little clips but I've never had success with them. Somebody needs to invent a gadget that attaches to a fan and tells the contractor how much weight and where to balance the fan, just like tires are balanced. ... show more

  • Great Fan
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
This fan is just what we were looking for! It's moves the air with virtually no noise. It looks nice and seems to be of good quality. We've had it up a couple weeks, so I can't speak to the longevity of it. The remote works well, but does seem a little flimsy. Installation was average for any fan I think. It does have several parts, but the instructions were clear and in English (not just drawings or poorly translated, broken English) so they were easy to follow. If you like the style, I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Fabulous Rustic Windmill
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
Wow, this fan is a beast, a little tricky to install, but beautiful to look at. As far as function: 1. 6 speeds, but not as powerful as the Hunter brands. 2. Can hook up to Wi-Fi and control via Alexa through the Bond app from Apple App Store, if you purchase the option P2673-01 Wi-Fi module to attach to the receiver it comes with. A lot of research finding out, because the manual/specs of this fan model did not indicate it had the ability. I literally called the manufacturer, which was hard to reach, unless you were their Distributor. Hint call their Progressive Lighting distributor in New York; they got to the manufacturer in minutes. All in all a good fan and the aesthetics are pleasing to the eye and will bring the uniqueness to one’s home adding value in the future should you attempt to sell your home in this obscene Realestate market. Just be prepared to take a whole day perhaps putting it together and installing it, unless you hire someone mechanically/technically inclined. ... show more

  • Powerful fan
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
Fan was easy to install for the most part, the fan is very powerful yet silent. It is controlled by a remote I bought the light that is sold separately and installed it on it

  • A beautiful fan, but not without some minor faults
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
I thoroughly enjoy the look and function of this fan. It is a beautiful machine, and does what it is supposed to. However, I only gave this fan a 4-star review, and I will explain why: First and foremost, this is a "ceiling fan kit." You open the box up, and there is a plethora of parts- all tidy in their protective wrapping. You will spend the first half-hour simply unwrapping and sorting parts. The directions are decent, but they are lacking in clarification, in a couple things. Most notable, is the installation of the receiver and the filter. In my case, before I even hung the fan in the support, I installed the receiver/ filter assembly. Take the "hot," "neutral," and "ground," coming off the filter, and hook them to the wiring coming out of the outlet box. I then took the little metal filter, and tucked it up inside the box. Then, slide the receiver {flat side against the ceiling) into the top of the fan hanger bracket. Next, I hung the fan into the bracket, then made the rest of the connections between the receiver and the fan motor. Receiver-to-motor wiring is all very simple, simply match up the colored wire. To make the wiring a little easier to manage, I took my soldering iron and tinned all the ends, so I was not having to deal with getting all the fine strands of the wires to screw into the wire nuts, securely. I have read in other reviews that some fans act a little strange, i.e. upon start up, it kind of stutters. I experienced the same exact thing. My fan stuttered when I tried turning it on, and I could not get it to come up to full speed. The direction switch on the remote would not do anything either. I turned the wall switch on and off, and then it fired right up, and the speeds worked just fine. My theory is that this is because these fans convert the household 110 volts AC to DC, and causes them to be glitchy. Again, a beautiful fan, and appears to be very nice quality. We love the old windmill look! ... show more

  • Silent and uniquely gorgeous
Color: Bronze Style: Fan
Very distinctive and blends well with our feature wall in our master bedroom. Actually pretty easy to assemble and TOTALLY quiet - I mean no noise at all when it is on. At high speed, you can barely hear a little wind noise, but NO noise from the fan (motor) at all. Looks even better installed 😁 DC motors are the way to go. Have another DC fan in our living room and no noise at all either. ... show more
