Love this 30lbr. It was pretty dirty when arrived with a black coating even after trying to wipe it off, i couldn’t get all of it so i just dealt with getting my hands dirty for a few workouts. Other than that, this weight works perfectly for my at home workout!

I was happy with my purchase as an addition to my home gym. They also can be used on my flooring without the worry of scratching it. I was about to buy some used ones off of offer up, but these went on sale for a better deal brand new. They arrived packaged well. The dumbbells feel good in my hands and I have thick hands. I just received two 30-lb dumbells today. The smell is horrible. I'm going to give them a few days for the smell to dissipate, if it goes away, I'll keep them, if not, I'll be returning them. The handles look cheap compared to my other dumbells, so I'm not sure how long they might last, but I got them on sale during Prime Day so I'm willing to give them a chance--assuming the smell goes away. They do weigh the same, so that's good. ~UPDATE:~ The smell didn't go away after 25 days of sitting in a corner (indoors) and when I tried wiping off the packing oil (gently, with a nonabrasive cloth), I noticed the black coating rubbing off.
