Overall, they are fine ankle weights and seem to be very sturdy, however: The "adjustable" parts are small packets of sand. They are fairly easy to take out of the holding pockets but you feel like you had a work out trying to get them in. If you're going set them for just one weight that's fine, but if need to change weights often (different exercises or different users) then these are not recommended. [EDIT 12/29] I've upgraded my review because the manufacture has contacted me offering a full refund. I'm not unhappy with them, and they will do fine for my workouts, now that I have the weight where I need it. So thank you for the offer, Sportneer, but I'll stick with them. ... show more

Pros: I like the fact that the Velcro sticks almost like super glue. I like that the weight can be increased or decreased. I like the comfortable way they fit. Con: I wish there wasn't a gap between the weighted ends touching, but a comfy sock and good footwear ensure comfort just the same.     • Changing weights was more difficult than it needs to be

I am going to leave my original review as I still believe a design change would make this product more user friendly, but I do want to compliment the seller as, after they read my review, they offered me a full refund because I had difficulties using their product. I consider this the sign of an ethical, caring business. They proved they are a great company. Original review: I bought these because I liked the idea that I could change how much they weighed, and the videos made it look like the weight bags were easy to remove and put back in, but I admit I really struggled to remove the bags. Ended up using a pair of pliers to grab hold of them which enabled me to finally get the tops of the bags out of the slots. Since I wanted to start with three pounds in both, I had to get 4 of the bags out. Out of curiosity, I did make an attempt to put one of the bags back in, but I gave up before I succeeded. I do have some arthritis in my hands and my grip is not that strong, but I do feel the design could be changed to make the process a lot easier, such as making the top a flap so that one could just flip the flap up and grab the top of the bag. I believe this company does make a different set which has loops on the ends of the bags so they can just be pulled out, but that set did not have the weights I wanted. I also worried because the Velcro was so strong I wondered if I would be able to pull it apart. Once I got it open the first time, it seemed like it got a bit easier to pull apart. Once you put these on, you will have no worries that they will come off before you take them off. I obviously am not the strongest person — hence the acquisition of exercise equipment to try to improve — but I do think the design could be changed just slightly to make the product more user friendly. Got these to add a little bit extra to our walks and they do a great job. It's really nice that they come with multiple weights to insert in the straps to customize the intensity of your work out. The quality of the straps seems good enough. They aren't super premium but not trash quality either...just sorta meh but they get the job done. The weights themselves appear to be accurate with their weight as well. Nothing really bad to say about them. The price is decent for what you get and it's a great piece of equipment to add to your workouts. Just a suggestion for your.....start small and work your way up. I first thought that the 2 pounds would be super easy to wear on a jog, so I did the 6 pounds. While it doesn't seem like that much additional weight you do start to feel it very quickly.
