Aftermarket insoles have been a part of my life for awhile now! They are a small item that can help make me feel better, IF, they are good enough. To start off with, I have always had flat feet, am 6 feet, 3 inches and weigh about 260 lbs. So my feet and joints take a beating. The lighter the shoe and the more cushioning and support can make a serious difference throughout the day, at the end of the day and evening and even in the morning when I stand up and take my first few steps. I have tried a lot of insoles. In the past I have gone with less expensive ones, only to be disappointed with the lack of support, cushioning, stability and durability. :( So a few months back, I saw these Spenco Heavy Duty insoles. While their appearance won't overwhelm you. The materials they are made up of are pretty robust, don't compress to nothing and really provide the extra cushioning and support I really need. They are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. They seem to have a mid position pricepoint. So considering how solid they are and longer lasting, I consider them a good value. :) I feel comfortable recommending these to others. If they can help me feel better with my particular body size, weight and feet, I think that you may benefit from these as well :) They may even allow you to walk more comfortably and thus you may add more steps to your day - which is something that can benefit a lot of us! I order my work shoes a half size larger than usual and insert these babies right on top of the factory insoles. Great comfort for all day wear on concrete floors. Very nice insoles!

I had seen these in a store. Stepped on them and they felt great (didn’t try them on with shoes). They didn’t have my size so ordered off Amazon. They’re good insoles but the arch in these things-with the way the shoe is (took previous insoles out)-did not work. The arch is hard and high. I could try whittling the arch down a bit but that seems like work. Since I trimmed them, I am assuming I can’t return them. They may work in a different pair of shoes.
