  • Very nice for price!
This leg press/squat machine does the job just fine. It operates and moves how it's mechanically supposed to and the durability and quality is there. Assembly was easy. I'd recommend two ppl to put this together and definitely watch the assembly video on this page. Helps a whole lot. Overall a good workout station and am happy with it. ... show more

  • Gym Quality but a Bear to Assemble!
My husband wanted this to add to our home gym. Once it was assembled it looks like it came right out of a commercial gym but it took the both of us 8HOURS to put together! The instructions are meh at best, you will ABSOLUTELY need two people and use both the how-to video on Amazon AND the written instructions to put it together. Beware the video is silent, so you're essentially using the video to identify the piece the written instructions are telling you to use. By the end we were ready to chuck it out the window but we persisted and are glad we did. This was easily half the price of others we were looking at but pack your patience!! ... show more

  • Great Equipment
Extremely well packaged, not one scratch or missing part. Put together in about 2hrs with instructions and assembly video. Everything functions really well. No tipping concerns.

  • Rather deceptive
First: it state “it holds up to 1,800 lbs. However, there is only room to hold six 45 lb plates. That TOTALS 270 lbs. secondly: the two rear “plate holders” won’t work as described BECAUSE the triangle brace in the center rear is not far enough from the holders (you need at least 8 inches for Olympic plates). ... show more

  • It is rated for a 1500 lb, there is only one bar, to hold weight. You may get 1000ibs on it.
The foot p plate is narrower than I expected or how for but the machine is smooth as a gym machine, passing is well made, machine is well made! For the price, couldn't find anything close. Very happy with purchase and the machine, gave it a 4 because of the weight hole and the foot plate.

  • Good machine, bad directions.
The directions call for bolts by number, but they're not numbered, and when I opened the package, many of the bolts and nuts were scattered and not in their package. I love that they give you wrenches, but you are guessing which bolts you're using, which for the most part a good portion of them don't really matter, but there's some it would be nice to know for the length etc. There's two shorter bolts in there you can mix up if you're not paying attention, but now that mine is together I do love it. I wish the platform came out a little more, but for me and most shorter people it's pretty great. Not really ideal for people over 6' tall, I'd look for something longer for this type of machine, but I feel it's worth the price and it's sturdy and even. I didn't have any un-evenness on the floor so no swaying or rocking which is amazing. One of the first machines I put together that everything matched up very well, BUT when you get to the arms that hold the weight, do every bolt very loose until you have them all in place, otherwise you won't be able to get the angle piece in easily. That's the easiest way to do it. The picture will also show the arm bars at the shoulders going up, but you will be right with them aiming downwards, so don't second guess yourself, just go to the picture of it on Amazon and you'll see the arms are aimed downwards, not up.. just some friendly info. ... show more

  • Quality seems good, but instructions definitely need to be improved.
TLDR: It's hard to recommend buying this unless price is one of your biggest concerns (it cost about $800 when I bought it, and other machines were easily in the $1,000 - $1,500 range). The quality of the equipment seems good, but the poor instructions make it difficult to feel confident I've assembled the machine correctly. I haven't had any problems with it so far (I've had it for a week), but I haven't tested it with a lot of weight yet either (it's currently loaded with 180 lbs). Nonetheless, the max capacity of this thing is 1,800 lbs. It's extremely dangerous to try to move that much weight without proper technique, and strong, safe equipment. When you're building the machine yourself, the only way to be sure it's safe is if the instructions are clear and precise. So, that's why this lost two stars from me, even though I haven't noticed any other problems with the machine yet. Amazon won't let me make this as long as I want. So, I'll have to cut the rest down to the few notes I think are most important. 1. The assembly instructions state that assembly requires at least two people. This is not true. You can do it alone. Just be patient, and don't take unnecessary risks. I worked on mine a little bit each day for a week before it was finished. 2. The instructions state that you should only hand tighten all bolts until the equipment is fully assembled. It will be significantly more difficult, if not impossible, to properly tighten everything if you wait until it's completely assembled. I recommend that you hand tighten everything as you're working through each step, then fully tighten everything before moving on to the next step. The exception to this is step 2. If you fully tighten the frame pieces (part # 7 and 8), it will be impossible to fit the seat support frame (part # 31) between them in the last step. I advise you to make sure the seat frame fits between the outer frame pieces before moving past step 2. If it doesn't fit, go back and loosen parts 4 and 5 in step 1 as well. 3. Instructions show the shoulder pad support (part #15) upside down everywhere. Come back and look at the product page here if you want to see how it's supposed to look. There's only one way it attaches to the carriage correctly. The black pads, and the handles should both be pointing down once it's assembled. 4. The part numbers for the bolts begin with H8 or H10, and I figured out that the first number after the H is millimeters. It indicates which washers will fit the bolt. Also, I'm pretty sure that the numbers after the dash are some kind of measurement of length (e.g. H10-16 is longer than H10-14), but I have no idea what that unit of measurement might be. The numbers in the description column are similarly unhelpful. 5. The instructions say you get 42 H10-12 bolts. This is not true. You don't have 42 of any kind of bolt. What I can say is that there are two different kinds of bolts that you will have the most of. One of them (the one I assume is the real H10-12) is not fully threaded, and its head fits a 14mm socket. The other kind is fully threaded, and the head fits a 17mm socket. Otherwise, they both seem to be the same length, and they both fit the 10mm washers. So, I think you can use them interchangeably (actually, you basically have to in order to finish assembly). 6. Step one has you connect parts 1, 2, and 3 at the back with another triangular shaped piece that doesn't seem to be numbered. The instructions also don't indicate that there are actually two vertical holes in the rear upright (part #3) that you need to fasten to the triangular piece as well. You can use H10-12s for this. 7. Step five calls for 2 H10-11 bolts. This seems to just be plain wrong. The parts list doesn't mention H10-11 bolts at all. I suggest using H10-12s here as well. Lastly, the actual product page for the machine I bought says it's no longer available. However, this page seems to be the exact same product, and it's in stock. The page where I left my original review has another bad rating, a two star with no review. So, I have to wonder if the manufacturer created a new listing to try to wash its reviews clean. It seems suspicious to me. So, I decided to copy my review here as well. ... show more
