  • Great resistance profile, even for taller individuals
Was concerned about size given my height (6’3”). But the adjustable back rest and height adjusting seat prevent my feet from hitting the floor. I suspect even taller individuals would be fine. I placed a 35lb plate on the support peg to improve the resistance profile which works perfectly, providing more consistent resistance throughout the entire range of motion. Machine is stable even with heavy load. Easy to assemble, and better than expected. ... show more

  • Made for serious lifters
I am very happy with my xmark leg extension and curl machine. My physical condition is probably different than most: My whole spine is fused from c2 to s2 and getting around machines is often difficult. I have built a good home gym but have not worked quads and hams for almost a year but now ten years of surgeries are finished and I'm healed enough to start legs again. It took some effort to find the best seat positions, pegs to pin and a way to get the knee pads inserted while seated, but I did and now it does everything I want. This can easily hold enough 45lb plates for anyone and it is very solid in use. The hand grips are a bit low for me, but I can reach them. I am only 5'10", but 265lbs and have been a bodybuilder when I was younger. This machine is probably going to wear very well and stays solid and smooth even while using heavy weights. The only cheap pieces are the plastic sleeve inserts and the knee pads post is undersized and wobbly. I will probably make my own from better-fitting square tube steel. One other annoyance is that I havr to remove this knee pad piece every time I want to get off the machine. There are better, adjustable knee pad designs in more expensive machines but this does work. The knee pads themselves could be a little firmer: I like a snug fit when working hamstrings and the soft pads have quite a bit of give. The leg extension shin pad is very comfortable even using 230lbs(the most I have done so far). Overall, this is very solid, smooth and heavy duty. It is adjustable and should be a good fit for everyone. ... show more

  • Very Sturdy!
Great leg extension/leg curl machine. Fairly easy to put together alone in a couple of hours. Had an issue with a piece not fitting and X-Mark made it right ASAP!!! Sent them pics of the piece and they sent the replacement part via FedEx to me. One minor issue with the machine itself though. The seat is very close to the adjustable wheel so to get in and out of the machine, you need to remove the leg holder but it is easy to remove so I guess it's not a big deal. Also, the seat kinda rocks a little. Not sure what that's all about. But, overall, I would recommend this machine!! ... show more

  • Upgraded to 5 stars after 4 years of use and its still as good as day 1
Im a heavy lifter and know the gym. I bench over 500 lbs and don't listen to whiner/cant figure stuff out ... reviews. This is a solid machine people. They have a grease fitting to keep the machine lubricated (do this!!!) and you will have no issues. I use this for a definition machine not to build the power. I usually place 50 to 125 lbs on this machine twice a week. 5 sets of 25 up 5 sets of 25 curl. When I got the xmark I gave it 4 stars because the seat is wobbly but its not that wobbly and it hasn't gotten worse in 4 years so its good. Peace. ... show more

  • Great product and great seller!
Like many trying to figure out a way to work out during COVID, exercise equipment can be very difficult to come by these days. Maybe because these were leg machines they were available (terrible gym joke), but training legs with weight in addition to body weight can be difficult; especially hamstrings. The equipment came as promised, both machines were easy to set up, and I am more than satisfied with the quality of the machines. These are quality additions to any home gym. When the packaging arrived, one of the weight sleeves was dented, and the tough texture on the calf raise machine was falling off. I don't suspect this was the fault of the seller. I contacted the seller on Amazon to explain the situation, they replied within 2 hours, and they gladly shipped out a new sleeve and a new adhesive for the calf machine. The replacement pieces arrived within a week! Couldn't ask for more! ... show more

  • Great deal for the price
This machine arrived faster than expected, which is great. It is sturdy and it was easy to assemble too. It has good ROM, better for curls than extensions I think. The weights do slip off, I can’t find a clamp that fits to keep them from sliding. It also is a bit creaky but not a big deal for me. Also, with extensions, it is a bit hard to get left foot in bc the bar below the seat kinda makes it difficult. Again not a big deal but it has scraped my ankle a few times. I do recommend, if you are looking for curl/extension machine similar to a gym. ... show more

  • Answer To My Prayers
I was going to a personal trainer for the past 15 years and after numerous injuries with my back (herniated disc), shoulder (Labrum tear) and finally blowing out my knee, I abandoned the personal trainer and put in my own home gym. Since my knee surgery, I have been in so much pain, gained a ton of weight and lost all my muscle. This machine has been a life saver in helping to rebuild the strength in my legs without all of the pressure lunges and squats was putting on my knees and lower back. It came packaged INCREDIBLY well. It was super easy to put together (although it did take my husband and I to do it as there were times you needed more than two hands), It's incredibly sturdy and I would put it up against any machine in a commercial gym. I also purchased the weights that are recommended to go with it. I couldn't be happier. ... show more

  • Good but not ideal.
This is a solidly built leg machine that is relatively straightforward to assemble. The good: Rugged heavy-gauge steel construction Doesn't take up too much space Holds enough weight for a really good work out. The bad: The biggest criticism is that it is not easy to enter and exit the machine (especially if you aren't small and/or flexible - which I am neither.) You really have to remove the adjuster leg pads to get in - not the end of the world, but not ideal. The range of motion is adequate but because it is just a free weight suspended it is not even tension throughout the motion. ... show more
