I spent 3/4 of my life (I'm 71) weightlifting. I've been a bodybuilder, a powerlifter, many other types of weightlifting along with boxing and martial arts. This is one of the finest piece of equipment I have purchased since the beginning of my lifting. It took my wife and I about 4 hours assembly once we laid out all the components and reviewed the book completely. From there assembly was simple, not complex. I truly love this machine, no I'm not paid for this review. I've used industrial machines in muscle gyms that were no better than this. I am impressed. Not only by the machine & the simple assembly but... also by the way every component was wrapped carefully. The media could not be loaded. Recommends two people to put together and it would have helped on certain steps but I used a “bench block” or my foot as my partner. I always fly solo on work projects. Wasn’t hard to assemble at all, No issues with instructions etc. The machine is my new favorite piece in the garage gym. Very smooth action, sturdy and easy to switch from hack squats to leg press. Most affordable leg press / hack squat combo available. I’m over 250 lbs and 5’09” to give you an idea. I feel more than safe using it and have loaded up to five plates on each side with no problem and plan on more in the near future. ... show more

    • Nice piece for any workout or recreational room.
I'm 6'3" and this does a pretty good job of working my legs without much difficulty of motion. Assembly was ok especially with the nuts and bolts spread out through the steps. For some you may need an extra person because some parts are awkward. Good job RITFIT.

4 stars because my shipment was missing SO MANY PARTS they had to reship a new box. It took forever and communication wasn’t the best. Once I got the parts, it was easy to assemble and it works great.

I’ve just purchased this item and put it together. It seems like it will be perfectly suitable. The instructions are well delivered and the unit seems quite stable and capable. I will say this, my item arrived with several missing pieces so I reached out to their customer support through Amazon and they replied quick, were apologetic and immediately shipped out the items I was missing at no cost to me. This machine was a great buy at $700.00!!! Very well built and surprisingly smooth operation. I assembled by myself in about two hours but would have been easier with another hand. A tip for safety rail installation…. Install the two bottom brackets where the spring and bump stops go first and tighten. Leave the two top ones really loose… bolt nut faces inward. You’ll be able to slide the upper part of the safety rail through the top bracket and then the bottom end with the spring and bump stop will drop in no problem. If you don’t do this you won’t be able to put the nut end facing in on the top bracket. Also, much easier if you have two people to install the carriage and rails. A bit of a challenge by yourself. Some have complained about bottoming out too soon on both hack squat and leg press but at 5’8” I haven’t had an issue with that. Also once fully assembled, run the carriage all the way to the top and bottom to make sure there’s no binding. If there is you can adjust that with the bolts that hold the rails in place. I also put strips of 4” grip tape on both foot plates. They are a bit slippery. I really love this machine!!! ... show more

Originally my item arrived in 2 separate packages. I began to unbox and assemble the machine and noticed that there were many parts missing. I reached out to the seller and the promptly responded and clarified that the 3rd package is still in transit. I’m happy overall.

This piece of equipment is heavy, sturdy, and feels smooth (though loud) during use. Time will tell how the hardware holds up. My main warning to potential buyers is about the bad packaging and shipping: Box 1 of 2 arrived about 4 or 5 days before box 2 of 2. I opened it to inspect and found part after part damaged, scratched and even bent. When box two arrived, even more parts were damaged and scratched. The “screw pack” had broken open and there were washers and bolts everywhere. So the system of following the labeled sections during assembly was now useless. I had to examine each piece individually during each step of assembly to ensure it was the correct screw/bolt/washer etc. It was fine in the end and I was able to put everything together in about 3 hours. One washer and one peg were missing. The seller was not helpful in sending a replacement, so I found my own parts. It worked out fine. I ultimately decided to assemble everything despite all of the scratches and damage. Nothing structural seemed compromised. I was simply too impatient to wait around for replacement parts. I share this because I know some will feel otherwise, and should know that a common complaint with this product is that parts arrive scratched and damaged. ... show more
