These are very useful and good oven mitts. They allow you to grip handles as you'd expect and you can walk across the room with a hot, heavy pot and not feel the heat burning your fingers. They aren't the most dexterous mitts you will use, but that's not why you have them. These do the job of protecting your hands and wrists from 400°+ burns. Out of all the Carta Bella papers I've bought I like this set the best. Every single page is beautiful and coordinates well in the set. I'm sure there will be nothing leftover for my stash when I've used up the ones I like best. It's going to be sad to hide away the "B" side of the paper that I choose for my cards. A shame really. I wish they had a single side option on this selection. The 6X6 inch scale is perfect for card making. Most times the 12X12 inch sheet sets are too big and busy for cards.
