This heater puts out a lot of heat quickly. With the unit sitting within a foot or two of where I'm sitting, the space becomes warm and comfortable within a minute or two. I have not run the unit for more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time, so I cannot say how it will function over longer periods of time. I plan on buying a second one of these to keep in another room so I don't have to continually move it. I haven't used the remote yet, but I imagine it works just fine. Three things to mention: There is a space in the back of the heater where you can lift it up with one hand to move it to another location. Unfortunately, this "handle" is so slippery that it cannot safely be used. (I plan to put some grip tape in the opening for the handle so I can more easily and safely move it.) It's light enough to pick up by two hands, but it is cumbersome to have to do that. Also, the unit feels wobbly in that it could easily tip over with little effort. This issue may be more of a problem for those with small children and/or pets. Finally, when the unit turns on and off and when you change settings, there is a very loud beeping sound. I find it annoying, but I can deal with it since the overall function of the heater is very good. ... show more

Bought my original units years ago, and it’s still working great! Gets lots of use. I purchased a second unit so I would not have to move my primary unit constantly. They are light and easy to carry, but having the convenience and coverage of two units is a plus! The fan is fairly quiet, and the heat output is superior. My house is 3000 square feet. I use this in October to keep my downstairs around 68 degrees versus turning on the furnace and burning LP. The little heater does manage to keep the downstairs comfortable. My bathroom upstairs is located in a dormer, so it has 3 exposed walls in a small room. Michigan winters can be cold, windy, and brutal. I use the heater in the bathroom in the morning to keep the bathroom comfortable versus chilly. Feel spoiled when I use this thing! When I was a kid, my bathroom was soooo cold, it would have frost on the window interior! Guess I’ve stepped-up in life;) Grateful for these little heaters, makes living in Michigan a little more bearable! Highly recommended! ... show more
