Just arrived- my second lasko heater. Bought my first Lasko heater in 2015 at Costco for about $10.00 less than I paid for this new one. The first heater still works perfectly but I wanted one with a remote (like with my Lasko tower fans-just love the convenience of a remote). Tried out the new heater & I just love it! Same size (22") as my first heater. Warms me up quickly & I really like the remote (well designed/easy to use)! I have never used the central heat in my apt. because the vents are at the top of 9 ft. ceilings. The ceiling is toasty but nothing down where I'm sitting. These little space heaters are perfect-aimed right at my level to warm me quickly!! Love them both, thanks! And easy on my electric bill! ... show more

Our bathroom is always cold this time of year. Between the tile floor and outside wall the mornings are especially chilly! Since buying this a few weeks ago, it’s so much better. I’m able to set the desired temperature and it works beautifully. It’s quiet and has automatic setting as well as remote control.     • Heats up the room quickly

This heater puts out a lot of heat quickly. With the unit sitting within a foot or two of where I'm sitting, the space becomes warm and comfortable within a minute or two. I have not run the unit for more than 5 or 10 minutes at a time, so I cannot say how it will function over longer periods of time. I plan on buying a second one of these to keep in another room so I don't have to continually move it. I haven't used the remote yet, but I imagine it works just fine. Three things to mention: There is a space in the back of the heater where you can lift it up with one hand to move it to another location. Unfortunately, this "handle" is so slippery that it cannot safely be used. (I plan to put some grip tape in the opening for the handle so I can more easily and safely move it.) It's light enough to pick up by two hands, but it is cumbersome to have to do that. Also, the unit feels wobbly in that it could easily tip over with little effort. This issue may be more of a problem for those with small children and/or pets. Finally, when the unit turns on and off and when you change settings, there is a very loud beeping sound. I find it annoying, but I can deal with it since the overall function of the heater is very good. ... show more

    • FANTASTIC little heater!

It isn't often you get exactly what you need. Well made, performs well, all the features I wanted. The baseboard heat in my 130 SF bedroom with cathedral ceiling quit working. Nighttime temps in low 20s. When I turned on the heater and set to 70, it showed the room temp was 45 degrees, hypothermia territory. I returned in 15 minutes to a warm and toasty 70 degree room! I have excellent hearing and it is so whisper quiet I have to look at it to see if it is operating. I have a Lasko oscillating standing fan I've used for 15 years that still works and looks like new. Love the company. Only one con, the cutout that I guess is for moving the heater. It is such a poor design it is useless and I have dropped the heater three times now. I hope they do a redesign and give us an easy grip handle. It's the only thing getting in the way of perfection. ... show more

For years I used small, 1500 watt Honeywell space heaters because they were relatively inexpensive and readily available on-line and at the big box stores. The problem is they never lasted more than 2 seasons. The on/off knobs always ended up failing by the end of the second season or beginning of the third season. I managed to prolong the life of the last couple I bought by not using the on/off knob. Instead, I plugged-in/unplugged them, but that was a bit of a nuisance, and I discovered the other knob which adjusted the heat would also start having problems. For example, I could turn it all the way off, and it would still come on periodically if it was left plugged into the outlet. Over the last15-20 years, I went through quite a few of these heaters. Finally, I grew weary of their short lifespan and their less than stellar performance. So this year I purchased this Lasko, and so far I am very pleased with it. It puts out strong heat and really projects the heat outward a few feet from wherever the heater is placed. I used it last night near my wing chair as I watched telly, and it kept me toasty warm all evening. The whole room felt reasonably warm in fact. The build quality seems good, and the tower style makes it easy to push into the corner or alongside a bookcase or something if not in use. I am not really interested in the oscillating feature and have not tried it, so I cannot comment on it. Also, since I have only used it one night so far, I cannot comment on how much electricity it will use. Fingers crossed it does not cause my electric bill to skyrocket. I guess the upshot is you get what you pay for. The Honeywell heaters cost less, but performance is not particularly remarkable, and worst of wall they do not last long, so in the end, you are not saving money by buying them. This heater costs at least double the cost of the Honeywell, but it does a much better job, and I hope it will last longer than 2 seasons. Plan to buy a second one once they go on sale again. ... show more

    • The best space heater I’ve ever had!

This is such a great heater! I bought a Lasko space heater a couple of months ago and liked it so much that I wouldn’t buy any other brand. I think this one is even more powerful than the first one I got! I have an open area kitchen, living room, dining room, and entryway. This heats up the area so that I can turn my household heat way down and save money on my electric bills. I’ve got an unheated sunroom that’s pretty big and I can sit out there even when it’s really cold outside with this heater because it works so great! I love that I can set the temperature and also that I can have the fan on high or low. And it was on sale! This is such a great heater! Definitely recommend it ... show more
