I'm a beekeeper and of who don't know honey crystallizes with cooler temperatures. So I decide to upcycle a retired wine cooler. I needed a heat source and most use a light bulb as a heat source. Then I came across this little guy. Which seemed to be the smallest electric heater out there. First impressions. Well, I paid 12.99. I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I received my Amazon package and opened it to find an even smaller box than what I was expecting to see... now for me that's amazing because, smaller the better right! Unfortunately, with size and price i was concerned for the initial plug in out come. However, I plugged it in and holy crap does it pack a punch of heat! A little of that annoying new hot electrical smell. But it works well! I can absolutely see this product being the perfect small space desk top warming companion. For my application, this heater is going to be absolutely perfect. I immediately ordered a second for my honey warmer as I have a double wide separated wine cooler. I am also ordering two more for back ups in case I go down. For the price it's worth the back ups of just in case. Price to quality and performance. Our 1500 watt ceramic space heater was old & didn't put out much heat or throw it very away. So, I figured this little thing might suffice as a replacement. After all, we only use it for defrosting the mirror in one of our bathrooms (while showering). Not only did it exceed expectations with only 1/3 the wattage, it excels in unexpected ways. It throws the heat out so far it can warm you up from a couple feet away, easily. It's quiet, & has a very small footprint. So, I'm saving on electricity usage, while improving the effectiveness. For heating a room, it probably won't do the job, but for a small, personal space heater, this is truly remarkable. I highly recommend! ... show more

It’s smaller than I expected even after seeing the reviews but it’s honestly perfect. I use it in the bathroom (yes, even though it says not to.) and it goes a great job at heating the space and quickly so. It doesn’t take up as much space as what I was previously using in here which was the goal. It is pretty quiet too, so that’s a plus for if you plan on using this elsewhere. It only has one button that powers it on and off so obviously also only one heat temperature which initially I was worried about but it puts out a great warmth and has not failed in keeping me directly warm or the space of the bathroom warm. This is just what I needed!! I ordered this heater specifically for my desk at work. It is ALWAYS cold in the office bc the a/c is on all year round and it doesn’t help that I sit at cubicle with a window, I’m always freezing, so I needed small space heater to keep warm. I work in an old building and almost anything can knock out the power, so I also needed something with low wattage so that I wouldn’t blow a fuse, and this heater has saved the day! Not only was it super affordable, but it’s small and compact! I can tuck it away in my desk or behind my file cabinet when not in use, the safety feature that turns off the heater when it’s knocked over is awesome, it’s quiet while it’s turned on, and the amount of heat it outputs and distribute is unmatched! There are times when I have to turn it off, bc I get a little too warm, but mostly I am comfortable. If you work in a drafty, small-ish setting and need to warm things up a bit, get this space heater!! ... show more

I thought this would be an all-right little heater, but it is a wonderful little heater! It doesn't take up much space; it heats up the air instantly; and it gives off more heat than you would think possible. This is not fancy--you push a button to turn it on and the same button to turn it off. If it gets off-balance or tips over, it shuts itself off immediately. ...how well this little guy works! This Gaiatop Mini Space Heater puts out a tremendous amount of heat considering its size. The fan noise is comparable to other small heaters. You will hear it, but it's not too loud. The tip-over feature works great. If you move the heater, it will automatically shut off. However, as soon as you stand it back in place, it starts to work immediately. It actually heats better than my larger fireplace heater does. Because it's only using 500 watts, the cord does not seem to get warm at all. I'm really conscious about checking the cords on my heaters. Hot power cords are a major cause of house fires. If you have them on high for too long, the cord gets hot and starts to melt. This heater has been running all day and the cord has not even gotten warm. I have not noticed any odors from it and can also not comment on the durability/lifespan since it's only a month old. Hopefully, it'll hang around working just as well for several years to come. And...oh my gosh...the PRICE! How can you go wrong? ... show more
